Hey, look Voracious Dragon! I sacrifice all my goblins, and....hmm, oh, shit. 20 points of damage in one turn is fun, but nobody's dead and my board is clear. I'm done.

The negatives of playing casual, and your friends never end up playing one-on-one.

Goblin decks are definitely 1v1 builds. Red can still do well in team play, though. Especially if you play Legacy. Chain spells can get real interesting real quick.

I'm sure he doesn't have his deck ideal yet. It is a bit of an odd sideboard, but counter decks don't play well against each other, which makes the sideboard make slightly more sense. R/W Humans has a lot of synergy in Avacyn, lots of "damage now, and fast" type of plays. That deck would take time to really get to the hurting without a lot of well-timed miracles. I don't think R/W humans will dominate the top scenes, but it's a great speed play.

Oh for sure. R/W humans will definitely be a Tier 2 deck that will come out of nowhere sometimes and just wreck things. The stuff it got was rather surprising considering red humans only really came out in Avacyn. He knew it was his weakest match up so I imagine he saw it coming, guess he just felt he wouldn't go against them, but the first day he went 2-3 and then went 5-0 on Day 2 because he was lucky enough to not go against them anymore.

Aaah, k. Still, Foo Fighters is one of the bigger bands. It'd be like not knowing if someone told you something was by The Beatles, only slightly less so. I don't think anything quite matches Beatlemania.

The Standard red/green deck is really fun, but it hinges off some really expensive cards. Flayer of the Hatebound and Rage Thrower. Undying is such a great mechanic though.

I'm not saying I love The Beatles that much, but they exploded in popularity. I don't think a band is going to match that (relative) popularity any time soon.

I wanted Voracious Dragon to be good, but devour is just a bad ability. It almost seems like it was created to make players think about what is bad and what is good. It just gets you 2 for 1'ed or higher every single time and it is not multiplayer friendly it all. The only decent devourer is Mycoloth because if it isn't killed quickly it gets out of hand.

Flayer of the Hatebound Undying decks are bound to come out of the woodwork when the Titans leave. The Titans leaving makes a bunch of cards suddenly better.

I think I'm going to keep playing my Red/Black vampire deck personally. Not a lot of "new blood" in Avacyn, but it's good enough for my friendly casual play. Always fun to have the highest life total in a group game purely through Falkenrath Nobles and Lifelink.

I have a lot of tribal decks. 2 elves, 2 goblins, 2 soldiers, 1 bird, 2 zombies, 1 beast, and a few I am most likely forgetting.

I just think that the Beatles are kinda overrated. Especially their "newer" stuff. I like the older stuff a little because of the simplicity of it all. There isn't any "OMFG SEXSEXSEXDRUGSALCOHOLFGHDSBVFDEQKVBFDEQGBEQ" shit going on in it. Nope, they had songs like "I want to hold your hand" and "I saw her standing there".

Vexing Devil is pretty beast. It is awful in Limited, but in every other format it turns into 4 damage if you have it in your opening hand every single time.
