Want to get back in to WoW

But i don't have any friends online after switching servers like 3 times, I play on Kel'Thuzad on the Horde side. Is it worth it to re-sub or should i just find something else to do?

Im not asking for a resub invite. I just want the opinion of those that still play, should i start paying my sub again? Do you still find it fun?

I don't have any friends that play either anymore besides 1 guy. I don't play either.

You'll feel really awkward getting back into the game because you've been away from the type of people WoW players tend to be.

It was easy for me to make friends in game when I was 16-18. Now that im 24 I find it near impossible. I stopped being elitest ingame years ago when I realised how lame being an elitiest in a video game was. I also stopped caring about pixel gear and pixel ranks. You don't realise how pathetic a lot of people are (or even how pathetic you yourself once was in the past) It all is until you're off the game for awhile then when you return it hits you like a ton of bricks and you think to yourself "How did i put up with these people, im nothing like the playerbase anymore"

Its like people who are still playing hardcore....its almost as if they haven't at all grown mentally. The 1 guy I know who still plays, he pretty much talks/acts like he did back 6 years ago, he is my age...except I took long breaks away from the game, he kept playing everyday. I can't stand the guy anymore his a 24 year old child. Ask him how he still isnt bored and hes into super-defensive mode. I just think what the fuck? This guy is an adult now, not 16-18 anymore...yet he sounds/acts like a teenager still.

Imagine that "fun cool brah" from highschool, you think wow he is awesome! (when you're a kid). Then you meet the guy 10 years later and he hasn't changed and u realise how much of a douche he is.

    Sort of like that.

At the moment World of warcraft is boring for me, but the main reason for this is I have finished Raid lots of times, got full pvp gear and not bothered to do them again anymore. Only log in to play some Battlegrounds now or then. If you have not experienced Dragon sould then yeah you may resub into a populated server and do the raid and other stuffs, depending on when you were last online in world of warcraft. If you took a break few days ago(after DS came out) I would recommend you to wait for MoP and resub then. So far Mists of Pandaria really looks promising, it is gonna be awesome since they already admit that cataclysm was a mistake :P Few things they have already realized:
    1. After certain amount of raid runs in patch people logs in and have nothing to do
    2. Worlds are dead these days
    3. Players need lots of new cool overpowered spells, abilities and talents.

Hence, we are having Pet battle, scenarios, World bosses, new world pvp system(NA yet), challenge mode with cool new gear sets and lots of lots of new spells with freaking tough choices (

Hope my reply helps you my friend

Everyone experiences are different. Re-sub for a month see how you like it and then go from there. Not all guilds are immature. It may surprise you how many adults actually play this game. Just ignore the vocal elitists/ethugs that are crying out for attention. Just because the childish personalities are the most visible doesn't mean it represents the community as a whole.

As an example I am the youngest person in my guild and I'm 24 (the oldest being in their 50's). Our raid team consists of a Doctor, a Fire Fighter, a senior military Aircraft technician, a senior manager, an IT administrator, a self employed sign writer, a couple of engineers and a retired grandmother..... Results will vary depending on what you are looking for.

Why'd you leave? When did you leave? Whaddya want to do in game?

Face it, right now people are more or less done with DS. You can gear up and do the new HoT instances and LFR if you'd like. But if you played recently there isn't much new. If you have been away for a long time, this isn't the time to jump in and expect to do more than ding 85 and be prepared for MoP. Now, that might be a good thing to do - get back, level up, see if you still like the game. If so, you'll be 85. If not, eh.

Or you could wait until MoP drops. If you've a decently geared 85 and dropped due to boredom, that's what I'd do in your shoes. If you've seen Cata and gotten bored with it there's nothing vastly new in 4.3. Wait.

The reason you left would be a hugely important consideration when thinking about coming back.
As you stated you transferred three times so obviously you do not play the game for the social aspect.
Just what did you get out of the game at that point, what prompted you to play and what ultimately prompted you to stop in the first place.

Hah kinda funny, that's where I'm getting at the moment. Friends more or less gone from the game, on top of that I moved from one side of the world, to another. Time change, kinda bitty.

Also letting us know what kind of experience you're looking for in WoW would be helpful. It'll help for recommending servers/best way to get what you want from the game.4

Well pvp hasn't changed much, from a PVE POV if you don't want a challenge and all content handed on a plate then wow will be perfect for you. The fact that there is still 10.2 million subs means you will be with like minded people.

Make new friends. It's not too hard these days if you find the right guild of which there will be plenty when the new expansion hits.
