Specs not living up to expectations?

Starting off, here are my specs:

    Mobo: MSI P67A-G45 (MS-7673)
Graphics: MSI GTX 560 Ti TwinFrozr II - Stock cooled (for the TF version) @ 907 MHz from 822MHz
    Processor: Intel i7-2600k Sandy Bridge @ 4.2 GHz - Stock-cooled.
Case: Cooler Master HAF 932 Advanced
    RAM: Kingston 8096MB RAM. 2x4GB
PSU: "Certified" by smart corporation. 750W

    Primary HDD: SAMSUNG HD103SJ ATA
    SSD: SanDisk SDSSDH120GG25 ATA - 120 GB

    Windows 7 Home-Premium 64-bit.

So, essentially, I do believe there is some issue with some of my components. I am not seeing very good frame rates in WoW compared to (what I am told) that those components may achieve.

With everything on Ultra, including Shadows, and Multisampling on 8x, I get approximately 40 FPS at the target dummies in Orgrimmar (I play on Kazzak EU, a relatively high-pop server). Turning off Shadows, down to Low, I get to 66, which is quite alright, except it does not stay there. It occasionally dips to 50 whenever I move, and sometimes even lower.

Temps do not appear to be the issue, despite the quite heavy overclock on the CPU, I only hit about 58 degrees celcius whilst playing WoW, the GPU is a tad higher, at about 64 degrees.

I believe my specs should be able to achieve more, but I could be wrong.

    Any help on this?

Chipset drivers, graphics card drivers etc. are up to date

Alright, I guess my worries were entirely unneeded then. Thanks a lot.

A tad off-topic, but can anyone recommend a good CPU stability / stress tester? I plan for this rig to last for some time despite being overclocked.

Your main FPS problem in WoW is that you have shadows on Ultra. Lower them and you will see drastic FPS improvements.

On a high pop server a shadows absolutely murder pretty much any hardware if you are looking at a ton of characters.

LinX is a good, quick stress test as well.

I ran OCCT on max possible settings and MSI Kombustor with Xtreme Burn-In for 10 hours, and there were no issues at all (surprisingly).

    Thanks for the input everyone!
