A 6870 is your best bet.

I agree with Chaud, I have a 6870 and it performs very nicely, it plays any game currently out, without any lag, you can't max settings on some games like bf3, although I do run bf3 at max settings at 1280x1024 resolution and have only once or twice gone below 40 fps, for comparison I have an i5 2500k.
