Making Gold from 525 Enchanting?

Hey guys

Just maxed enchanting, wondered if theres any good ways to make gold with it besides DEing crafted items?

Thanks for any tips as most enchants seem to come out more than their mats!

You could, you know, make enchants and put them on the AH?

Just a suggestion though, dont hang me up on it .

On the 3 realms i play on, the enchants (high-level ones) sell for a couple hundred G's more than what the mats are, so if you play the market correct and dont SPAM the AH with enchants, you can make quite a decent amount of money.

After a reset, have a lot enchants prepared, they sell like mad ! (alt's getting LFR gear, mains getting normal/heroic gear) and guess what, they need new chants for them purple items !

Same goes for JC btw, if you got that ^__^

To make gold? yes. Do Power Torrent, Landslide, Peerless stats and sneak auctions wether those +65 haste / mastery sells good.

To make lots of gold? wouldn't count on it. Mats price -> Enchant price increase is not that big. On my server, Power torrent goes around 1,2k gold, with mats going around 900.

Other thing is, you will save lots of money not "tipping" enchanters. Like mentioned Power Torrent, you save 300 gold every time you do it for yourself instead of buying it (plus your mats save something too)

OfCourse it depends on your realm situation. Get Auctioneer, do some auction house scans and decide for yourself

putting some enchants on the AH, casually remind trade once a minute that you can enchant they're stuff (for a 10-20g fee with their mats), just some ideas though

So I should buy all the big enchants? (i dont have any gold after levelling so will need to mine some ore to buy the crystals to buy the recipes)

And then I can simply buy mats, make enchant, sell enchant and make gold?

Will take me a while to grind the gold to buy the mats for the recipes and then again for base enchant mats though

It depends from realm to realm, if there's AH camper on your realm playing with enchants you're not going to sell reasonable amount to make gold unless you sit near AH camping it too. Since you've JC your safest bet is to buy ores, prospect them, ask transmute master to transmute carnelians into rubys for a tip, sell gems, craft rings/necklaces from green gems (exept carnelians ofc ^^), d/e them and sell enchanting mats. It's a simple way to get massive profit (made 200K before i got bored and stoped bothering with it).

P.S. To save your time you can get Tradeskill Master addon, download mouse clicker, put mouse cursor over "destroy" tag, start mouseclicker and afk whille your thousands of ores are being prospected.

Buying cheap greens to disenchant can get you a quick profit aswell. Either by selling materials right away, or just making enchants to sell.
But have to know your market (and disenchanting odds)..

As people have pointed out, the easiest way to make a few bob out of enchanting is indeed to go for the higher end enchants - your Power Torrent, Landslide etc - but do not underestimate some of the lower ones too...

Here's what I would do:

1) Get to know the price of the following mats on your AH. Decide what you feel is a good price over a week and buy when under that price for packaging into an enchant. Do not feel bad about altering this buyout price as time goes on - infact, that's what you SHOULD be doing.

Greater Celestial Essence
Heavenly Shard

Abyss Crystal
Infinite Dust
Greater Cosmic Essence

Arcane Dust
Greater Eternal Essence
Illusion Dust

Use the cheapest Maelstroms you can find to get the recipes you need.

2) Do the maths to work out the profit margins on the top end enchants and post those you feel worth it. I recommend posting just 1 and reposting it if undercut. The AH posting price is exceptionally though for enchants.

3) Know the prices above? Great... don't forget Maelstrom Crystals shatter into 2 Heavenly Shards and Abyss Crystals shatter into Infinite Dust and Greater Cosmic. I've made tons of gold by shattering the Abysses - Abyss Crystal at 40g each -> shatters into 8x Infinite Dust at 7g each 56g. Small profit, but consistent income.

4) See if you can pick up the bracer enchants cheap. These sell consistently.

5) Don't forget to put up these two - +130 agi on weapon and Mighty Stats on chest - low mats and they sell quick.

Is alchemy fast and cheap to level? I have 1 spare slot for a profession on my enchanter so could pick it up but have no gold at the moment

alchemy is pretty easy to level, but costs quite a lot. if you got a herbalist, it's a crapton cheaper, but then you'll need to spend a lot more time on farming.

as for the enchant mats, damn those are cheap. usually on my server, maelstroms are 150, celestials are 100 and heavenlies are 75.

yea i only have 1 slot for a new professions so no herbalism. My server is the EU PvP Hoard server, 90% Hoard population

It's cheap compared to other professions and it'll make up for gold spent on transmute master procs pretty fast.

Also yes i craft gems myself, didn't bother with every single recipe but i craft orange (str/crit; str/res; str/haste, int/haste, int/crit, int/res, agi/haste, agi/crit), purple (agi,str,int/hit, int/spirit), blue (stam, spell pen), yellow (mastery, dodge and prob smth else i don't remmember) and ofc reds (str,int,agi).

P.S. Probably there're some other viable gems to craft, i just didn't bother with researching.

Wow, your enchanting mats are quite cheap. Take the time to do some quick maths and compare mat cost to scrolls - i.e. Power Torrent, Landslide, Windwalk, Peerless Stats etc and work out if you'd be turning a profit or not. If you are, try it out - i recommend posting just one at a time and repost when undercut so you don't tie up too much gold.

Look for bargains in trade too - the "WTS 20x Maelstrom cheap!" etc can sometimes net you bargains. Don't be afraid to haggle and work out how much per piece you'd be paying. Sometimes being given a total figure can look much more expensive than the reality.

And finally, JC coupled with Enchanting is really a serious money maker as people have pointed out above. Carnelian Spike's DE'd often give 3x Greater Celestials, the rings give hyponotic dust/lesser celestial/heavenly's etc so that can be another cost effective way of building up enchanting mat stocks.

I'd also give Abyssal Shatter a go on your realm, there's money there.
