Seems like you logged out in resto spec, so can't say much about spirit/hit, but I take it you are hitcapped when in balance spec. Mushrooms are generally put down before a pull and then detonated when you hit solar. They're handy to use in aoe situations (blood on madness, adds on yor'sahj) or when moving and thus unable to hardcast (Morchok, Zon'ozz too, to some extent).

Basically what you want to do is start the fight in lunar with just 5 energy left. Plant shrooms before pull, prepot, insect swarm, moonfire, starfall. Then starfire into solar (always keep starsurge on CD), pop shrooms, reapply dots, wrath into lunar, reapply dots, keep starfall on CD as long as you are in lunar etc. etc. Depending on haste you might want to refresh your dots just before leaving an eclipse to have a longer uptime. Keep your treants on cooldown, and if possible try to get them up just before lust/time warp is cast, they benefit from it.

Generally you want to reforge to your hit cap (1742 rating for 17%), and then just dump what you can into haste. Use a tool like reforgelite to make it easier.

5 Energy until you exit lunar? You should try and start the fight in lunar with 100 energy left.

You should always use starfall on CD regardless of eclipse state, if you're 1-2 casts from lunar then save it otherwise it isn't worth it.

Also, @OP, log out as balance then it's easy to check reforges.

I have found it best to start 1 cast AWAY from Lunar for max NG up-time. IS+MF>Wrath 1 time>pre-cast Starfire>Starfall>Starsurge>Starfire and then refresh DoT's 1 cast before you leave Lunar>Starfire/Starsurge your way into Solar>DON'T refresh DoT's yet, as you will have NG still on yourself, Starsurge/Wrath spam untill NG falls off>Refresh DoT's(I like to save shrooms detonate untill the end of Solar or if I get a Power Torrent proc during Solar)

Your goals are NG up time DoT up time and getting into a Eclipse as fast as you can

If I could point out something, "Glyph of Berserk" is not gonna do you any good as a Balance druid.

Besides reading the stickies you are kinda missing out on about 1.2k dps from not having Moonfire Glyph...
A million thanks to Aryiana for the awesome sigs!!!

Don't listen to blanket statements about what eclipse to start in or go towards first. It completely and 100 percent depends on the fight and to a lesser extent, your guilds strat. The things you need to think about when determining where to start is stuff like when are certain add phases coming up (yor black glob), when ill have to move (morchok black shit), any encounter specific abilities (hagara's feedback), etc. you basically want solar to line up with any multi dotting and add parts of the fight while keeping a high natures grace uptime (not too much eclipse idling).

Hagara is a good example. My guild resets her with a hunter feign death so we get frost phase first every time. The first frost phase comes at around 30 seconds, then they're will be a big mufti dotting part (my guilds start has us stack up on the middle), and finally at e end, feedback for 8 or so seconds.

Keeping all this in mind, I start at lunar. I push to solar and I'm close to 5 energy just as the frost phase starts. I get to the middle and I multi dot every target. I'll starfire a few times until my dots run off and refresh them one more time while in solar. Then I'll get to lunar quickly, but WONT proc NG. Now when hagara comes back up and feedback is active, I'll have full nature's grace buffed dots/nukes as well as a buffed starfall. Normally I would go solar for a burst part like that just like in Spine. The difference here though is that ice tombs will be spawning soon after feedback and I definitely want to aoe those down in solar with buffed shrooms typhoon and hurricane if needed.

If I had started in solar in th beginning of the fight, I would have been in lunar for the frost phase which would have made my multi dotting much weaker and I would have been in lunar for th ice tombs which is also a big no.

For every other fight, you need to think about stuff like this otherwise you could essentially start in any eclipse and it wont matter.
