Another one I want to see redone is Oracle of Ages and Seasons Zelda

Some great suggestions already... hope some game developers see this! Some of the final fantasy games were redone on PSP, new content and cut scenes were pretty cool, but didn't feel like it was enough to justify buying the game again.

Sewer Shark (I'm glad i wasn't the only one who owned a Sega CD)
Wing Commander (i could see this working, throw in Joss Whedon as a consultant)
    Final Fantasy Tactics / 7
Legend of dragoon (50% of the game was absolutely epic, had some weak areas though)

    Also wanted to add.
    Turok for N64
    Original Zelda
Mechfighter?? (I can't remember the name) - EDIT - of course while i posted this someone mentions mech warrior, the actual title.

    Age of Mythology
    - AOE:Online was close, but Mythology's units and game play was so much more fun. It was the only game until WoW that I played for up to 5 years after release.

    Hidden and Dangerous
    - The original one + expansion, not H&D2 (they killed it by changing the movement mechanics). To *me* this is the game that launched atmosphere WWII based FPS games. I stress the 'atmosphere' as it played heavily into the setup of the maps very well... from the foggy & rainy riverbank of the first mission crawling on your belly to try cross a train bridge with outposts on each side and enemies that fan out after the first shot, to night missions in factories or train yards with pathers and searchlights panning around. Before it, there was mostly Doom based run and gun FPS's.

    Descent
    - Because watching people get mild vertigo is fun.

Donkey Konga. I played the living hell out of that game (both 1st and 2nd) back when it first came out. I haven't seen or heard of any plans on releasing the 3rd one to the US, as wikipedia shows that only Japan got it, which was all the way back in 2005.

Reading this thread makes me sad and also feel old...

Syndicate(whoever said that, curse you!) sooooooooooo much.
    X-com continued(played em all!!).
Dark age of Camelot 2 would be awesome(if they maintain most of the mechanics).
The Baldurs Gate, Icewind Dale games!! Or perhaps a different "book" in same engine/mechanic.
...arg! too many to focus...brain overloading...

What you've just wrote is one of the most insanely idiotic things I've ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response was there anything that could even be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this forum is now dumber for having read it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul!

Or Super Metroid using Super Metroid's engine. Just put it in HD, because the game is pretty much perfect as it is. Same for Metroid Prime.

I'd recommend checking this out: http://metroid2remake.blogspot.com/p/am2r-demo.html

Even though it is a work in progress it is very far in production. It definately uses the style of Zero Mission, so it is worth giving a look, I myself am overwhelmed at the current result of the demo.

As for the thread, Battletoads all the way.
