    I need a MONITOR

    Okay, cool story:
    One of my guildies is giving me his "old" system. I generally game on a laptop, so I'm getting prepared for having a tower, and need peripherals. I have everything but a monitor. /end_awesome_story

    I'm interested in getting either a 21.5" or 23" monitor and I want it to be LED lit, I think. Other than that, that's about all I know about what I want, or what to look for in a monitor.

    So, what stats and where should I be looking for my future monitor?
    I'm obviously going to be using it for gaming(WoW)/movies. I honestly hope to spend no more than the ballpark of $130.

    This is slightly beyond your budget, however I personally think it will be one of your best options. Asus 21.5" LED backlit comes in at around $150 after shipping, but that's worth it imo. The next option was a smaller monitor and only 1600x900 for resolution. If you're not bothered by not having 1080p, then go ahead and give this one a shot, since it's within your budget.

    Do you want a glossy screen or matte screen? I personally like glossy screen simply because it has better color reproduction but you do get reflection in sunlight.

    My room gets A LOT of light, sometimes unwanted amounts of light, so a matte screen is the best for me most likely.
