I'm disappointed in the NPCs standing in AoE. I would expect them to attempt to move out of it.

Yeh, the NPCs are super tanks though, most of the encounters involve the NPCs tanking the boss melee hits and the players trying to reduce damage to the NPC by blinds/daze/stuns etc as well as dpsing down the bosses. NPCs have innate hp regen so if you can lower the damage enough they can permatank
