Isn't it more personal and better to come up with your own name for him?
I like naming dogs Bojmir; everyone thinks its Arabic or the like until they write it down (especially at vet clinics) and their eyes auto-read it backwards.
Spearmint? I think that'd be nice
rex or paul.
Spartacus.
My chocolate lab is named Josey, from the Clint Eastwood movie Outlaw Josey Wales. She's a gremlin so it fits :P
I picked the name because I love Clint Eastwood. I would have named it Harry of I got a boy. A good way to find name is to look up an actor/actress you like and name it one of the parts they played.
Sir Barksalot
Scoodydoo
Bob Barker
Mean Man Jones
Dee oh gee
Ith'a
Ith'o
I reccomend you name it "johnson". That way you have any number of good one liners you can use. Here is a few:
Lost "I lost my johnson, has anyone seen it."
haircut "My johnson is a little hairy I need to get him a haircut."

I named my dog Sheba
How about Fred? Or Marvin i like Marvin alot.
I'd seriously just call it "Dog". Having 2 younger brothers and a younger sister, calling their pets absolutely awful names, I prefer the names of any pets I might take rather simple.
(They named some pets after drugs without knowing, and gave males names for cute females, and females names that don't even fit animals one little bit)
Lord Wolfington
My first dog's name was Ben, my current dog is Scotty. I don't know what you consider "awesome", but I like them.
Call him xxsniperxpro
