Does anyone know if Rend stacks? Or should I wait for the first one to end to apply the next?

As far as I can tell, it does not stack. It refreshes every time you hit it again.

That's not a reason not to spam it to dump fury, of course, but if you're fast enough, you can hit Rend and switch to Whirlwind right after.
