New Feral Glyph added in MOP

Just when you thought you had too many Major Glyphs to choose from already....they add another, sigh

    Major Glyphs

Glyph of Savagery (New) Savage Roar can now be used with 0 combo points, resulting in a 12 sec duration.

This will be a no-brainer for pvp-ferals. If they intend to keep SR as it is then this glyph will be the best solution for its crappy design.

Problem is, feral has like 3-4 'no-brainer' glyphs already for pvp, simply due to all the baseline stuff that got converted into glyphs

What about just nerf the spell and make it passive, it's actually a quite lame glyph -.-

Does it give it a cool down? If not, wouldn't this glyph basically give you +30% damage at the cost of one GCD every 12 seconds?

I would imagine even PvE ferals would take it, never having to waste a single combo point on SR would make up for the DPS boosting glyph you'd drop to use this one.

They should just bake the Savage Roar effect into mangle for 12 seconds. Only one GCD difference for refreshes and it gives us a reason to hit mangle besides being unable to get behind a boss.

It still costs you 25 energy to use it

I'm definitely interested in trying it out for PvE, then I won't have to worry about spending energy to build CPs to activate it. With the glyph I can use the CPs to more effective use like FBs and such.

Because fixing, revamping and reworking the ability itself it's way harder than making us cry about which glyph combo to use T_T

It'll probably be a dps loss like the inquisition glyph

im more excited about Pounce not requiring Stealth anymore

    An extra bleed, why not

EDIT: SR Glyph will be great for Solo/farming/questing imo and PVP

Since it doesn't take anything away, that's pretty much impossible. Even if all you did with it was roar ~5 seconds before a fight started, then jump straight into the normal priority (i.e ability->roar) and never use a 0 point roar ever again, you gain 30% damage on 1 ability.
I'm pretty sure there'll be better ways to take advantage of it than that, of course.

But it does, it takes away a glyph slot. So depending on what other options we have its possible it will be a dps loss.

Plus, like someone else said, there's still the energy cost isn't it?

This glyph is bad doesn't change anything for PvE. Good feral druids use Savage Roar with 1 combo point so it won't be worth picking up.

No, again, it's not going to be a DPS loss against using no glyph (which is what the comparison was, GoInq lowers DPS, but provides convenience). Glyphs in general don't provide a DPS increase in MoP, at least from what I've seen, so that's probably a moot point anyway. Most of them are "Gives X, but takes away Y", meaning they legitimately CAN be a DPS loss vs. not using them.
Examples would be Might of Ursoc: Increases the health gain from Might of Ursoc by 20%, but increases the cooldown by 2.0 min.
Icebound Fortitude: Reduces the cooldown by 50%, but reduces the duration by 75%.
Inquisition: Reduces the damage bonus of Inquisition by 15% but increases its duration by 100%.

Basically, that's like saying glyphing Savage Roar right now is a DPS loss. Yes, it's weaker than other prime glyph options, but it itself isn't lowering your DPS.

12s duration is too short for it to be worthwhile imo.

Pounce still Requires Stealth (testing it right now while typing this).

Glyph of Savagery is both interesting and dangerous at the same time. It is like the old Mangle, lasting 12 seconds and adding an increased damage effect, but this one doesn't deal damage. The dangerous part comes when using it while building CPs, as it consumes them all with increased duration of course... so if you are sitting at 5 CP and you want to Rip and the SR buff expires, you have to make the decision of either consuming them all into SR or Rip... So this glyph force us to timing everything perfectly, which I don't think it's the right direction.

I was really hoping that SR would never consume CP, consuming the same energy and lasting only 12 sec.

For PvP, this is a no brainer- PvE, not sure- is the energy usage increase worth the extra FBs?

For PvP, anyway, they made the Infected Wound glyph baseline for feral and guardian, so we dont have to worry bout that anymore. So, the choices are, let me see...

20% healing recieved as a cat, Ravage/Shred have no positional requirements during TF/Berserk, 30 sec CD natures grasp, 3 range on pounce, Fae Silence, 30yd range stampeding shout, 2 min dash, free SR, and Skull Bash are all the decent glyphs for ferals. 20% healing is 100% needed if you are running with any healer in PvP, and is one of the best in PvE. Ravage/Shred is a fairly decent glyph, but any kitty worth his salt is behind his enemies for that anyway. 30 sec nature Grasp is very handy with the nerf. 3 yd range on pounce isnt that grat. Fae Silence is pretty awesome, but requires a few GCD for shifting. 30yd stampeding shout range is good for RBG, and can be decent for arena. Dash isnt as good as it would be now, due to Wild Charge, and Disentanglement baseline. 8 sec interupt, 25 sec CD would be good for certain strats, as a succesful interupt locks a caster out for a good while- combined with Fae Silence and stuns, a caster can be locked out for a good 30 seconds, solo (Pounce+interupt+silence+cyclone+Mighty Bash+typhoon+interupt+silence).

There are many good combinations of glyphs. I personally feel blizz should have 4 major and 4 minor glyph spots, instead of 3/3.
Anyone ever notice how the sun seems to shine silverish now? Didn't it used to shine goldish? PM me if you've noticed this.

they should just make SR Glyph not to consume any CPs at all, still have duration increased by cps but not comsume them,

something like this, Glyph of Savagery (New) Savage Roar no longer consumes combo points, duration increased by the amount of CPs on target.

but i guess it would be abit too op?

or Glyph of Savagery (New) your Ferocious Bite and Rip (or no rip) now extends Savage Roar by 1 sec for each combo point
