...the first person you knew got a VCR? Whether it was VHS or Betamax, it was AWESOME. And Hollywood wanted them outlawed.
...the first time you ever heard one of those newfangled CD's? The clarity jump from tape was mind-blowing.
...if you wanted internet access, you had to be at a university, and you used TelNet, not a web browser?
...you had to pay by the hour for Q-Link, Compuserve, and to play Neverwinter Nights?
...you accessed BBS systems rather than the internet?
...people were aghast about that new singer Madonna and her incredibly offensive clothing and behavior?
...MTV actually played music videos?
...Keith Richards and Steve Tyler did NOT look like walking masses of wrinkles?
...Ozzy was intelligible when speaking? Oh, wait, that never happened.
...Aerosmith teamed up with Run DMC, and a new genre hit the big time?
