Possible New Information About Project Titan.

Yeah, I think most have known that Bungie would be part of it for a while; what I didn't know, however, was that Xbox would play a role in this.

Just because Activision-Blizzard's involved doesn't mean Titan is Destiny. I'm not throwing out the idea, but I don't think it's likely.

That's the game Bungie is working on, not Blizzard. It supposedly has some elements similar to MMO's, but the Yahoo article makes the leap of logic to call it one. Here's a few other articles about it from sites with more gaming knowledge than Yahoo.

Nobody knows anything specific about Titan besides that Activision-Blizzard is working on it and that it's an MMO. Nobody knows if it's an MMOFPS, and nobody knows if Bungie is involved with that specific project. Destiny is almost certainly not it.

It is not Titan. Destiny's IP is being held by Bungie, do you really see Blizzard working on a franchise that it does not own? Even more, Rob Pardo said at Blizzcon 2011 that Titan will primarily be a PC game and that any console port will be handled later on. So basically Bungie and Activision are doing their own thing, a whole different thing from what Blizzard is doing with Titan.

If Titan does turn out to be an FPS MMORPG, then I'll be very disappointed. It isn't going to appeal to the same crowd that fell in love with WoW originally - arguably the fantasy genre is far more successful when it comes to MMORPG's.

If it were Titan, it would say Blizzard and not Activision-Blizzard. If you ever see anything with the words "Activision-Blizzard", it's being developed by a studio under the direct control of Activision-Blizzard and not Blizzard. Blizzard is autonomous within the Activision-Blizzard family.
