Some people scar more easily than others, too. I have some faint but still noticeable burn scars on my arm from when I was a teen. They're over a decade old by now. I also have a very noticeable scar on my knee from fabric abrasion that's about three years old. Yet I have friends who have no marks at all from injuries just a year or so old.

Don't think he is whining that it happened to him or about his friends. Just looking for advice on how to reduce or get rid of the scar tissue.

Avoid the sun if you have fresh scars because they will become darker and might become permanent. Try wearing a long armed shirt or something when walking outside if you live in a sunny area.

Other than that do what the others have suggested. :P

I strongly suggest one of the following (ranked by effectiveness):

    Mink oil
    Beeswax salve
    Marigold salve

All are very effective on repairing damage to the skin and even can reduce scars.
