    Inferno and any Act.
You can tell WoW changed the MMO for good when players started complaining about the amount of time they sink, into a time sink.

The only two black dyes available are Abyssal Dye, and Bottled Smoke. The latter is Collector's Edition exclusive.

Abyssal Dye is commonly found on vendors on Inferno difficulty.

    +1 for this link!
Still wondering why I play this game.
I'm a Rogue and I also made a spreadsheet for the Order Hall that is updated for BfA.

Protip: Dyes stick when you trade/drop items, so if you want CE dye colours get a mate with the CE to dye your gear for you. Ive been dying my Barb friends unusually common pink gear with the Smoke Dye.

I've been doing the same with my Barb friend, but with the Cloud Dye.

    There is no black dye.

Both the Abyssal and Bottled Smoke are grey.

There is no truly black dye, period.

That depends on what you regard as black. If you're going by the absolute definition; a monitor can't show the 'colour' black, because even in complete lack of colour, the pixel will be lit up while the monitor is on.

Most of the time, people simply refer to dark grey as black.

Also, keep in mind that different monitors will display images differently. On some monitors, the Abyssal Dye may be a lot darker than on yours.

    Dyes kinda suck.
Legit purple isn't even a decent shade, its like lavender.
I wish they were a bit better because right now everything for me goes straight to cloud, or just undyed basic colors.

I use either infernal or abyssal. They are the best for me.
