Looking to build a PC for D3 and WoW.

Hi, as the title states, I am looking to build a pc for d3 and wow. I already have all the stuff I need aside from a new tower. I don't need monitor, keyboard, mouse, speakers or a copy of windows. I will be playing on a resolution of 1680x1050. I would like to keep it under $1,000 cdn after taxes if possible.

    Thanks.

With a strong CPU & a decent GPU your rig is going to play WoW with shadows/AA off really well, Diablo III on ultra

(Blizzard games are more CPU intensive than GPU intensive.)

If you don't want a loud CPU cooler you can swap out the A70 with a Hyper212, it's not going to cool as efficient but it's not going to be as loud as the A70.

The OP said he didn't need operating system. Additionally, the SSD isn't a necessity and you could buy a far more capable video card with the money saved from not getting an SSD/Windows.

Or you could leave the video card as is and save a lot of money for your pocket?

If it's for D3 and WoW, that card is overkill for max settings already.

You don't need the 6870, as mentioned before Blizzard games are more CPU intensive than GPU, the 6850 will max out D3/WoW pretty good.

500w is more than enough if you pick the right PSU, which you will with the PSU I posted.

This is what I would do OP. You have room to add the SSD back in if you want(I would definitely recommend it) but that is up to you.

This comes in almost $200 lower than your budget. I don't feel the 6850 would be a good buy at this time with the prices on other cards.
