    New rig help

    Hi MMO champ peeps

I'm looking into upgrading from my current rig which is as follows:

    CPU: Core Due 2 3.00ghz
    Ram: 4Gig DDR2
GFX: 9800GT 512 (yeah it's old but does what i needed till now)
    HD: 1TB (dunno what make)

basically this was a Dell Computer i got for nothing from a friend ^^

I'm from the UK and my budget is about £800 (altho if i can do it for less would be great but if it's only a little more that's fine too) and i'm looking for either upgrade (tbh upgrade will prob cost as much as new build) or complete new build.

If anyone can help would be great i don't mind if it's through a site or not but multiple options are always good =)

    Regards Goretog

I would suggest checking the stickies as well as my sample builds: http://www.mmo-champion.com/threads/...-Sample-Builds

Does your budget need to include monitor, keyboard and mouse, Windows, etc?

The following should cost around £800, but does not include any of the above mentioned peripherals (including Windows) and you would have to assemble it yourself.
    Gaming 900
    MoBo: ASRock Z68 Extreme3$121.99
    CPU: Intel i5 2500k$204.99
    RAM: G.Skill 1600MHz Ripjaws 2x4GB$39.99
    GPU: PowerColor 7870$329.99
    HDD: Samsung Spinpoint F3 500GB$79.99
    PSU: Seasonic S12II 520W$69.99
    Case: Cooler Master CM690 II$79.99
    --------------------------------------------------
    Estimated Total Price – $927

    Recommended for:
Gaming build that will take care of almost
all gaming needs; will exceed in most games
but lacks the power to cope with really
    demanding titles at max settings.

Will have a good look at the stickies, tbh i'm lazy but if i can get better for making myself i will consider it as i have done it before =P

I have monitor, mouse, keyboard but no OS (being a dell comp it came without disk)

I'll put up what i was thinking of getting in a few, just woke up now and need foodz!!!

Right i was looking around and was thinking something like this for a setup

    MoBo: Gigabyte Z77-D3H Intel Z77 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard
    CPU: Intel Core i5 3570K 3.40GHz
RAM: 8GB DDR3 (not sure what make to get)
GPU: Asus GeForce GTX 560Ti DirectCU II TOP 1024MB GDDR5
HDD: 500GB HDD (not sure what make to get)
PSU: 650w PSU (not sure what make to get)
Case: Cool Master HAF 912 Case - Black

As for prices well tbh i pulled this off a Pre-Build site with options as i have no idea where to even start looking in regards to buying the separate bits.

All are open to suggestions/changes and any help in lowering the cost (this rig would set me back £810.10 and includes Win7 OS) would be very gratefully accepted.

Also any info on the cooling would be great too

Always been a Nvidia and intel guy but open to other suggestions, i do know some things about computers but not confident enough to just go out and buy staright away (also the wife wants to save as much as pos and would kill me if i messed up ^^)
