I am truly burned out on RPG s and the summer is here, and there's only so much beach time I can take.
Any PC game come out recently that's any good? A shooter? Strategy? Anything, as long as it doesn't involve levelling / skills etc.
I want to revitalise my love for gaming!

The Thief Series of games were released on steam pretty recently. They're old, but they're literally the best stealth games in existance. Graphically, they're completely bleh apart from Thief: Deadly Shadows, but generally the first two games are seen as the better ones.
Asides from that, possible Shogun 2: Total War. Superb strategy game, fantastic visuals, enormous battles, I'm talking thousands of units on the battlefield at once. The game is just amazing.
It's early in the morning. Can't think of anything else of the top of my head. There's about a billion and one other things unless you narrow down the categories however.

I want to play a cute game with a jazzy soundtrack. Not so super-cute that it looks made for 14 year old girls but... you know what I mean.

Strategy: Total war: Rome, Total war: Medieval II and Total war: Shogun II
I think I spend more hours on these then I have on any MMO

Blacklight Retribution, free to play FPS shooter similar to CoD but with zero campers, futuristic weapons and tech and mechs. Awesome shooter.
