Robes look vastly superior imo, especially because the character-leg-moving animations of WoW are quite old.
Not to mention that robes can actually have a look to them, usually a symbol or a certain motif - while pants are just garbled colors wrapped around yer legs n groin.

It depends. Some legs matches really good the sets when you aren't showing the robe. The Vengeful Gladiator's Shaman set without the robe looks really good. Malorne's Raiment looks really good, imo, and it uses pants.
I prefer pants, but I recognise that most Druid's set look really good the way they are.
