Why did you play your specific class?

    Hey guys,

We all had/have one character we invested most time in. Why did you pick it? Why did you choose that specific class?

I started off in 2005 as a NE Druid. I liked the idea of shapeshifting, but at lvl 31 I swapped to my Mage (which I still play today). The reason? This guy:

I remember watching his videos back then and thinking: "This is exactly the way I like to play!", so I dumped my Druid and went with my Mage all the way. I haven't had any regrets at all. (Aside from this, Sorrow Hill 4 also made me get into Rise Against back then, a band that still is relatively unknown in my country. I don't think I'd ever have discovered them otherwise).

Tell us your story, there's bound to be something funny/nostalgic/sad/interesting .

I started just before TBC got released, and thought that I'd play a class that none of the people I knew was playing, because of faction restrictions, and so I rolled an alliance shaman.

Knights, chivalry, plate armor, defender of the innocent and destroyer of evil: Paladin from the start. My first character is still my main after over 5 years.

I was leveling my shaman( my first char) a few weeks before Wotlk hit, and was doing hellfire ramparts with a Ret paladin who continued to destroy the entire instance pretty much by himself, and the animation of Divine Storm looked pure awesome.
Didn't actually reroll untill I hit 80 on my shaman tho, but that was one of the things that inspired me to play a Ret and have done so for nearly 3 years.

I started when the game came out and my brother told me to do a paladin, so I went with it and has been my main for ever. My Enhance shaman though almost became my main, but I love tanking more than dps.

Playing a relentless, icy, harbinger of death who raises entire armies of scourge to annihilate any resistance is too good to pass up.

Rogue... because I am a coward.

I'm very skittish and jumpy IRL. When I played other games like Elder Scrolls and Fallout series, shit popping out and getting the jump on me scared the hell outta me. So in every game I play now I just automatically go for the sneakiest class -- I want to see them before they see me. WoW is a little different, but the thief habits are hard to break, when I played Skyrim I was originally going with sword and board warrior nord, to get the skyrim feel. 5 minutes into the game I caught myslf sneaking and trying to pickpocket Ralof. The Ironic thing about my rogues is once I did open up, I fought like a berserk, i.e. fight to the death. My arena partner had to train me to play defensively, know when to go all out and when to vanish and regroup, etc.

My bf convinced me to try wow and start playing and suggested priest since they were low on healers.
However, I fell in love with shadow and pretty much always played shadow, for many years... they had to reroll healers instead :P
Then I stopped wow and started rift and first char was a cleric inquisitor... quite similar to spriest =) And cabalist offspec (aoe dot damage) for library warfront and port scion. Then I swapped to mage and played mainly dom-chloro... really fun turning casters into hampsters and drain them to the ground.
And well, took a break from rift and started star wars... and started with a sage because... well, I like casters =) But my main there is a mercenary and kind of caster-ish except shooting with guns and it is really fun. Lately I'm also more open to different kind of caster playstyles and not only "shadow priest"... but sure, the shadowkind with dots and stuff is close to my heart, I must admit it =)

Well I started playing a bunch of different alts in vanilla; because I'm normally an animal fan I decided to try and break the mould and try not a druid. But then I ran out of other classes and just made the druid been a druid ever since. Any other class pails in comparison to bears. And for MoP: pandas are the girly veggies of the bear world so druids > pandas no matter of class.

My first toon was my Druid which I still play today. I picked a Druid because I had no idea at all what I wanted to play so I chose something that could do everything also no one was playing a Druid when I started so I liked that aswell. I have stuck with my Druid through the thick and the thin and I have always been Feral, either tanking or pvp or dps but Im finally getting a little bored of melee but now I don't even have to reroll, its Boomkin time

First toon was a Warrior because I thought it would be the easiest, ie, just smash stuff, no magic shit.

But now play a Resto Shaman, because healing is a lot like playing Whack a Mole, and I'm a Whack a Mole pro!

I started off as a bloodelf warlock, bloodelf cos it's the prettiest girl and warlock cos i wanted a pet ( didn't want to battle alone ) then after 49 levels I decided that I want to heal, which is wen I chose my nightelf resto Druid! Which has been my main ever since!

Why Druid...the shape shifting is interesting and let's face it, saves a bit of gold to not needing mounts and as a lock I was quite good at DoTs and my boyfriend told me that Druids have HoTs so it's the same principle but different effect!

I love my Druid but would like to try a frost mage sometimes. But this time on a horde character again cos orgrimmar is just so muh cooler to hang out than stromwind!
