Didn't Blizz say that you could earn different parts of an achievement across various characters? i.e. Loremaster
Or was that only "meta" achievements?

Blizzard said the opposite, but you are correct on meta achievements. Those parts can be completed by separate toons.

Most criteria are not account-wide

If you start an achievement on one character, you can't then finish the achievement on another (there are exceptions, so please keep reading). We didn't think it made sense for one character to get level 60 and another to get level 20 and then see the "level 80" achievement toast. If you start to explore Thousand Needles on one character, you’ll probably want to finish that achievement on the same character.

No why would it?

Despite being myself a "new" Insane achievement holder I can not argue how much easier they've already made it;

- Removal of Shen'dralar reputation requirement
- Introduction of the new Darkmoon Faire

Each has made it significantly easier, considering this there's no reason they'd remove it in the future.

Actually it's probably the easiest way to go, because once you have ground your bloodsail rep, you then have to grind all 4 goblin reps back up, but doing goblins first means you only have to grind 1 rep back from hated which is much easier, plus you don't need to do those stupid cloth turn-ins.

The problem with doing bloodsail last is you can't go to goblin towns.

It's only easier if you never want to go into a Gob town again, which at some point you will.

no reason it should, it will be much harder with cross realm zones, anybody wanting this will be competing with their entire battle group for farm spots.
