    Mind exercise about raiding

You know how Ragnaros was a complex fight made of many parts and it was difficult when it was new right?

Imagine that something similar may happen if 3 or 4 "easy" bosses are put into a "chain kills" mode and by killing one you're automatically to the next and if you fail on any of them you fail in all.

After all, if you only started with the last phase of Ragnaros, it would be relatively easy, if you had all the time in the world for Algalon it would be much easier, even if you started on the 3rd phase of Ragnaros it may have been a much easier endeavor.

That makes me think Yogg'Saron was one of the most amazing encounters ever created. This is because while the first phase was a similar "grind", the 3rd phase was not as important as the 2nd. If one only had the 2nd they might still fail. Of course it wasn't the same to have just that but the difference would not be as huge, as compared to say, getting only the 4th of Ragnaros or even starting from the 3rd.

But anyway, on the chain-kills of any raid it makes sense. 2 or 3 "easy" fights can become insanely hard if one must do them without wipes. This might not seem a good thought for Dragon Soul now but imagine that when one is on progress there will be wipes even on the easier bosses. Even if on farm you had one wipe in any of them it might mean a wipe for all. It wouldn't be as easy even on farm.

Three full bosses in one? No thank you. Encounters shouldn't be hard because you pulled three bosses in a row. They should be hard because they are creative or push raiders' mental capacities.

A boss with three fights? Sure, they have done that, and I enjoyed it. Its the beast from ToC and then some more.

A boss with many phases? They do that all the time.

Adds out. Its in my hair. Kill the little bastards. Shit, healer got stunned in fire patch, blow cooldowns and throw some innervates!
Here come the worms ,get ready to kite. What's the time on innervate? Get out of the damn clouds! Somebody get some fire to the Main tank. Crap the healers are getting low again.
Oh crap he's charging, move! Cooldowns cooldowns!! Fuck, the hunter DCed!! Sigh, release and get ready to try again.

I mainly meant - I'm aware of ToC - after killing say, Morchock and the next 2 or 3, then to have a 'chain kills mode' for more achievements or rewards that automatically teleports you form one to the next. It reminds of the 'no or few wipes' mode of ToC heroic, but it's not the same.

OP isnt talking about making raiding fights like ToC beasts,

Hes talking about a "Mode" in raids where the bosses chain pull with achievements and rewards tied in,

Personally I like the idea, would take very little development time and give the higher end guilds something to work on after Hc kills

Yes. For example, you kill 8/8 as normal, you even do heroic, I don't know. It's as it is now. However, then you can enable a "chain kills mode". For example, it may be just the first 4 bosses. In that mode if you kill Morchok, you automatically teleport to Unsleeping.

You might save doing the trash too!

edit: Hrm, It might be dynamic. e.g. "The more you kill the more you get." e.g. "Killed two in a row? Reward X" "Three? Reward X times 2 or reward Y". etc.

If you die once, your character will be deleted and you lose all your gear.
Just imagine the adrenaline rush you get from near death experiences.
And the prestige of a World First hardcore Kill! Of course it's not for everybody.

I don't think so, rather speedclearing instances is a lot of fun, almost in combat the whole raid. Our race was very mentally draining I just felt pooped out after Madness.

Sort of similar but totally different is the Earth, Wind, and Fire achiev from VoA.
