LOL are you serious.
On topic, inferno is about patience. Diablo has always been about patience. You farm and farm and farm and farm to get better gear. This is made even easier in D3 with the AH, which makes even Inferno much easier than one would expect. Act 1 Inferno is incredibly easy, and then Act 2 is just retarded due to the mob types. Act 3 is fairly easy, and Act 4 is a bit harder than Act 3.

No, they won't. Maybe a really well geared monk with Thunderclap, but no Melee class will match this clear speed because of the nature of being Melee. Also, Archon Form's ability to be forever without a rune, out-performs anything Barb/Monk have, as WoTB isn't that amazing without Insanity.
A melee could get higher damage than that, combined with a much higher survivability.
But in terms of speed? Never. Beeing ranged with that kind of damage and your shield is far above anything a melee could do.
Melee would probably gain the lead once we get more content with even stronger mobs, which just onehit the mage through his shield, but atm, ranged > melee by far.
Not to mention while that mage definitely spend quite some cash on gear, a Barb/Monk would have to pay way more without ever beeing able to reach that kind of performance (overall).
