For some reason, whenever my hair gets any sort of length to it, the hair right around my temples curls almost straight up. When I was a kid, I remember it happening and somebody joked that I had "little devil horns". I've let my hair grow out a bit longer than usual, and a girl in my class made the same comment; that they look like "little devil horns".
Is this a thing now? Or is it a kind of jab at my having red-hair? And... how should I feel about said comment? lol

I've heard of a devil lock before but not that. I think it's just commentary on how your hair grows and nothing more.

Is that phrase used in English speaking countries? I heard it all the time in my native country, had never heard it in the US.
