I think it's good that this is being banned. What people often seem to forget is that patriottism is basically love of a piece of land, with unnatural borders dictated by random events in history. With the decision of a single person hundreds of years ago 'your' country could have been larger, smaller or it might not have existed at all. Why should we care about which part of the planet we were born on? If somebody that was exactly like you was born at the same time as you, but in a different country, you could still get into an argument about nationality, but how is that useful at all?
