You are wrong on a factual level. Quite a few elements, such as PvE mob killing in sPvP is built around kill stealing being a viable tactic. If I come in as elementalist, and one shot the chieftain whom you took 100% > 1% with a well timed nuke, I'll get the kill credit, buff, and will proceed to assrape you on top of that if you were alone as I have a lot of skills ready coupled with a damage buff against you who were fighting cheftain and likely exhausted quite a bit of your skill pool.

I loved been on the catapult alot of the time. I also found it funny how many people actually ignore the catapults even when one is raining down on their team. The secondary objectives can really swing the games, wiping out a control point wit the catapult whilst your team caps is so much fun as is just destroying the buildings.

One game, I shit you not, I killed the entire enemy team with one treb shot while they were having some sort of circle jerk inside the clock tower.

    It was glorious.

Pointless thread about a pointless activity. You get the 5pts for the Kill even if you arent the one that lands the finisher, maybe some people need some time to realize this. In other words, landing the finisher gives you nothing extra.

I hate it when people use them so much that I make it my duty to hunt that person down and kill them and kill the trebuchet.

There's one guy who kept using it in the server I was playing in, he was bad at killing people and he knew it, so he stuck to the trebuchet and standing on top of things where I guess he thought other people couldn't get to easily or wouldn't notice him. Well I noticed him and I made that guy my bitch lol

This isn't League of Legends. You don't get extra gold or glory for getting the finishing blow, AFAIK.

Is your K/D ratio even tracked?
I hope you haven't forgotten my role in this little story. I'm the leading man. You know what they say about the leading man? He never dies.

I didn't see anything for deaths, but it did track kills.

K/D is not tracked in sPvP afaik. You do however get extra for killing blows on world bosses (as mentioned, classic MOBA kill stealing is a viable tactic). Not sure about enemy players.

I just have to post this.

OT: Seriously, It doesn't matter at all its like complaning over someone getting the killing blow on a monster in PvE

If that's the case, they do need to change that. It could be considered a form of griefing.

Or maybe they should make a legenda so people can see what sign means what because this one guy was flaming GW2 because he thought people just get thrown into pvp in WvW without even knowing what's going on whilst that's not the case at all.

But I can see how he thought that though because the signs aren't really that noticable when you just started playing.
Shrug I thought it was fairly easy to figure out. A castle icon was a keep, a tower icon was conveniently enough a tower, the house/farm icon was a supply point, and the mobile yack shaped icon was a supply caravan to escort. On top of that White crossed swords over an objective indicated that some enemy had attacked it recently or still was, Orange crossed swords indicated a fight of indeterminate size. Generaly if you were solo anything over a caravan was too much for you, 1 group was enough for a supply point, 2-3 groups for a tower, 6+ groups for a keep. If an objective has defenders expect to need twice the number of defenders on top of the base requirements

You can also get some additional glory at the end of that match for being a "Demolitionist" which you get from blowing up a lot of structures, you also get a bonus for hitting the most enemies with a catapult shot.

I loved the cat in battle of kylo. I got top scorer in several matches because both teams decided to fight it out in one convenient ratball that I could bombard the hell out of. My favorate time was when they did it right between the clocktower and the catapult I was maning. It does not get any easier than a target that is a minimum charge strait in front of you, especialy when they are too dumb to run up to hill and stop me after the first couple of rocks land on their heads.

It's the obvious and direct intention, very visible when you take in account the location and geography around the bosses. The place is built for sudden gank from the side to steal the kill.

I really didn't think kill stealing was a problem... I never once was like "you asshole why did you kill him?!" Now people stealing my emplacement that I just put down, because I needed someone to drop some supply occurred and pissed me off.... but definitely not kill stealing

Doesn't bother me too much mainly because you get credit and on the scoreboard it doesnt show other players kills and deaths, shows points.
You get most points for doing the objective

I was about to say, I don't think it matters who gets the kill...I have noticed that I get credit regardless.

The topic made me laugh. :P

You get the last hit on a person, it's your kill. Finishing someone doesn't give you anything.

But besides that, I thought I finally won't have to deal with people who care about things like this in GW2.... *sigh*
