    First Build, Comments required

    Hey Forum-users,

I could use some comments on my build.

    -ASRock Z77 Extreme4
    -Intel Core i5 3570K
    -Corsair 2x4GB PC12800 CL9 LP
-Gelid Solutions Koeler Tranquillo Rev. 2
-Cooler Master Midi Tower HAF XM
    -Sapphire AMD HD7870 OC 2GB
-Western Digital 1TB SATA600 Caviar Black
    -XFX ProSeries Core 550W
    -Lite-On DVD-/+/RAM iHAS524
    -Windows 7.

    Total €1.116,-

if I would want to add a new GPU in the future. Does a 550w PSU suffice to support high end video cards. Like the 7970 or the gtx 680?
I'm not really interested in an SSD. I'm planning to add one later.

My plan is to order the parts next week.

    Thanks in advance,

    Shooty

Yes a 550W PSU will handle any of those cards fine.

The Rev. 2 Tranquillo is designed for silent enthusiasts who do not have a big budget and will not be overclocking their system. - Gelid Marketing Taiwan
That said reviews says it can cool overclocked CPU's decently but nothing more than that. However it's fairly quiet at the lower temp/speeds.

Personally I'd pick the Xigmatek Gaia SD1283 instead if you have that option or perhaps a Corsair A70.

I'm normally not a fan of Cooler master cases but the HAF-XM actually looks to be decent, neat little SSD mount on the back plate.

The rest of the build looks fine in my opinion.

The Gelid is highly recommended on hardwareinfo (dutch site). That's why I chose it. The one you recommend seems like a solid one as well. Will definitely reconsider!
