    Power Supply Question

    CPU: Intel Core i5-2500K 3.3GHz Quad-Core Processor
Motherboard: ASUS P8Z68-V PRO LGA 1155 Intel Z68 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard with UEFI BIOS
    Memory: G.Skill Sniper Low Voltage Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory
Hard Drive: Samsung Spinpoint F3 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
Video Card: Asus Radeon HD 7850 2GB Video Card
Case: NZXT Gamma Classic (Black) ATX Mid Tower Case
Power Supply: OCZ 550W Power Supply
    Optical Drive: Lite-On iHAS124-04 DVD/CD Writer
    SSD: Crucial M4 128GB
    23" Acer Monitor
    Razer Deathadder + Arctosa

The Video Card says that it needs a minimum of 450W. Will the 550W be enough for the entire build?

520W would be enough. 550W is plenty

    Are you sure??
I mean I'm just making sure, but it says, "A minimum 450W system power supply(with 12V current rating of 40A)."
    For recommended system requirements.

One thing, somebody on the forums had their OCZ PSU blow out. After reading countless reviews I still think the PSU is sufficient, but it is just a headsup.

You could just get a Seasonic 520W to be safe

OCZ does not make the best of power supplies.

This is the power supply I have:

If that is too pricy, I know many people recommend Corsair builder and enthusiast series power supplies.

Your build will pull like, 255-300w, the latter under rather pushing overclocks. But I doubt you would reach that far.

So yes, 550w is more than fine.
