    Question Water Cooling

    Very novice here.
I've did some research on the subject but any other water cooling people out there I need some help.
I want to cool CPU and GPU. I have the 90-degree swiveling for the CPU block.
This is what I picked out so far. My biggest concern / worry is the fittings.

    CPU Block:
    http://koolance.com/cpu-370si-proces...k?path=0_29_44 ($64.99)

    Pump/Reservoir:
    http://koolance.com/index.php?route=...roduct_id=1177 ($234.99)

    Radiator:
    http://koolance.com/index.php?route=...roduct_id=1090 ($45.99)

    GPU Block:
    http://koolance.com/vid-nx680-video-...k?path=0_29_46 ($119.99)

    Fittings 90 degree:
    http://koolance.com/fitting-single-s...e?path=0_62_86 (12.24 x2)

    Fittings Nozzle:
    http://koolance.com/nozzle-single-bl...ath=0_62_63_99 ($6.49 x10)

    Tubing:
    http://koolance.com/index.php?route=...roduct_id=1234 ($1.59 x10)

I'm 100% sure on CPU and GPU blocks btw.

A single 2x120mm rad won't be enough to cool a processor and a graphics card.

  3. #3
    Weren't you going for a windforce 670? That's a 680 GPU block.

Aaand: "(This product is for NVIDIA reference layouts only. It will not fit video cards that have been changed from the reference spec.)"

According to coolingconfigurator.com, the GTX 680 reference waterblocks by EK should fit the windforce 670. No guarantees though.

As Butler Log said, 1 240 rad is not going to be enough for a cpu and gpu. You'll need to stick another rad in there somewhere, preferably another 240. The watercooling crowd on this forum isn't that huge, so you also might want to check out www.Overclock.net and do some research and ask questions there.

Where are the specs for the computer you are building or have and what case are you trying to fit this in?

What case do you have? This will allow us to figure out what radiators will fit as you will need 2 to cool the CPU and GPU.

That is a cool case and one my friend purchased about 7 months ago. Unfortunately we haven't gotten around to water cooling it yet. I don't see any water cooling guides for this particular case, but based on pictures you should be able to fit a 240 in the top. You will probably have to go with a 30mm in the top. The fans might not clear the heat sinks on the top of your motherboard if you go any thicker.

It looks like a 240 will fit in the front but you will have to remove the hard drive bays. This shouldn't be a problem for you as you can mount the SSD anywhere with a little velcro or 2-sided tape.

XSPC makes nice radiators and I use them personally so I can recommend them. As far as fittings go, Bitspower are some of the best out there. Their compression fittings won't mess up your hose unlike some of the cheaper brands. That being said, they are some of the most expensive fittings.

If you have already gotten the case, my advise is for you to mount the motherboard inside. Measure the top to figure out exactly what size radiator you can fit. From there, draw out your hose angels so you get the right amount and type of fittings.

Edit: Looks like you could fit a 400mm radiator in the top and have your 2 x 200mm fans sitting in the top of the case under the plastic via pull instead of push. Phobya makes one for about $100.

I think I'm going to switch to
    Corsair Obsidian Series 800D
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...0Series%20800D

Since I'm moving to water cooling I think this might be a better choice for space.
And some of the features are nice as well.

    EDIT
And that's a maybe still doing research.

The NZXT Switch 810 is a great case for watercooling, very adaptable without having to resort to power tools. It is also half the price of the 800D.
