Can a 90 DK solo 25man 3D Sarth?

As frost, with terracota fragment + army you may be able to do it, but you'd have to maintain over 100k+ consistent. I know with army burst you can do that but after that.. if the gurth trick still worked and you pulled every add as well... i'd definitely see it being doable.

Dinged 90 earlier and was trying Malygos 25 since 10 was faceroll at 85. Is the only way to do him by waiting out the enrage during phase 2?

Halfus (drakes depending), V+T, Omnitron and Magmaw IIRC have all been solo'd. Maloriak was attempted and survived (until enrage?), but DPS was an issue. Elementium Monstrosity was solo'd to P3. Unsure on the rest.

I won't spend too much time on trying to solo these for now, with all the raid progress and what not, but this should prove very interesting in the long run with the ilvl cap.

edit: Got Hoptallus down, got every trash down as well (FUCK THAT LAST TRASH PACK). Couldn't do the last boss though =( boss had the ability that summoned healing adds, ugh. might be doable with bubble shield instead though

Mione, you could always position the adds so that you can interrupt the beams with strangulate! as in, the adds do stop spawning at some point, so should be doable D:

I forgot about taking lichborn at the beginning, it mades it easy. The only "hard" part is to avoid some stomps, and use a defensive cooldown when you take one.

Magmaw was killed using a bug, I dont think there is any way to do it on live.

Brought LK 25H to p3 very easily (1st attempt). Vengeance is definitely not being gained from avoidance though, not sure what's up with that. It's isn't being refreshed either. Don't think I've ever gone above 40k Vengeance for the whole fight.

If vengeance gets fixed this might be killable in the forseeable future (read this tier). If not, might have to wait until next tier.

Not spending much time doing soloing atm, mostly testing the waters.

edit: on another note, this should be extremely easy to do with a Plague Scientist, but this isn't exactly a surprise.

What kind of of DPS are you pulling? I've issues with the enrage, best was 43%, granted I'm not a DK, but curious.

No it definitely doesn't work. I've tested on a pandaria mob, or on a 80 mob in ICC, for some reason I gain absolutely 0 Vengeance from any kind of avoidance. I have literally no idea where this comes from. And since the hotfix, it doesn't even refresh it anymore.
Due to the level difference I have a huge amount of avoidance on the adds on LK, I avoid at least 50% of the melee hits. This would make a tremendous difference.


There is a way to pull Control Undead mobs up there but it's annoying and takes some time. Not like it'd be interesting anyhow, I'll probably just use this to farm the mount but not make any video, nor won't consider this a legit kill, it's purely an exploit so yeah.

Could you please PM me and tell me how to get the plague scientist up there? my best attempt as of thus far is 48%. Not claiming world firsts or anything, just another guy wanting to get a Flying Pegasus pony.

Knowingly making use of a bug is pretty much the definition of exploit. No idea how he'd do it, but if he intentionally makes use of a bug thats considered exploiting. Not that I mind, I'd much rather see people doing something thats still kinda hard using an exploit than buying gold and grabbing the mount off the BMAH.

It crosses the fine line between being simply a nice perk and being OP.
Let's just say that if you were just controlling a mob that hits for a fair bit of damage, but wasn't *that* important in the end (just helpful towards pushing a few %), yes, that'd just be an ingenious perk.
A mob that literally doubles your damage output is simply overpowered. Add in the fact that the trash doesn't even respawn once you have a lockout on the boss and it becomes even more obvious that it crosses the line.
Do you remember the Flower Power buff that Ensidia used to kill Hodir hardmode back in Ulduar? In case you don't, it involved spellstealing buffs from Freya trash in order to beat Hodir's timer. Now imagine doing the same, not with Hodir, but with Yogg-Saron or Vezax. That's the closest comparison you'll get.
