Just did a test boot, there was display on the monitor, but no post beep.

My first build, on the screen it says
    ASROCK UEFI SETUP UTILITY

    UEFI Version: z68 Extreme3 Gen3 P2.10
    Processor Type: Intel(R) Core i5-2500k cpu 3.30GHz
    Processor speed: 3300MHz
    Microcode update: 206A7/25
    Cache size: 6144kb
Total Memory: 819mb with 256mb shared memory and 2mb gtt memory
    dual channel memory mode
    DDR3_a1: none
    DDr3_a2: 4096MB DDR3-1600
    DDR3_b1: none
    ddr3_b2: 4096mb DDR3-1600

I'm assuming I did something wrong, but IDK how to find out what.

    Edit:

I've been watching newegg's guide to building, and he had an hdmi cable connected to the video card, but I didnt, does that have anything to do with it?

If it boots fine don't worry about a beep.

When I did it that time, the display was connected to the onboard video, so I tried it again with it connected to the video card, and it didn't display anything, and I noticed I didnt have the psu connected to the video card, so I plugged it in, but I forgot that the psu was on when I did that, and it still wont show anything through the card. Did that probably mess up the video card?

Connect to the onboard and see if you can switch display outputs in the BIOS. Worst cast you need to reset the BIOS.

Did you plug in the little 4 pin speaker? That's what makes the beep.

In-case speakers are, these days, a relic of the past -- very rarely will you find a new DIY case that has one (Dells and such may still ship with them, idk) -- so, it's kind of normal that you didn't hear the beep on a successful POST.

As long as you have a video signal and everything reads fine (e.g., no errors, but it'll halt on errors anyway), you're...well, fine.

I'll ask the same. Most motherboards come with a tiny speaker for motherboard sounds (this is not a case speaker, it is only for beep codes from the board.)
