    Time flies by, as we come upon more holidays meant to show affection and gratitude to somebody who should always be shown affection and gratitude. Unless, of course, they're an ass who nearly killed you several times through abuse, and then abandoned you.

    Yeah, same. This holiday is just a reminder that my birthday is soon, which is kind of doubly depressing.

    I don't appreciate my dad enough. He made us breakfast for father's day. And it was an awesome breakfast too.

    I really, really dislike international forums on occasions like these. Instead of a random number of "happy fathers day!" -threads spread across the year with complete disregard to the fact that it really isn't father's day in a big bunch of the world, a general paternal appreciation -thread would seem more appropriate.
