Need a little help from Russians (I think)

I'm trying to figure out if this story is real or not, and the source comes from a livejournal blog in Russian. Could anyone who speaks Russian look at the comments and see if anyone's proved that it's a hoax? I'd really appreciate it. And if it's not Russian, I'm sorry, I don't really know. Really hoping it's not BS...

The story is pretty much that an old man build his own subway by himself. I'm trying to find out if it's just a joke or not. I know there are English sources for this (http://www.wired.co.uk/news/archive/...elow-his-house) but it all falls back to that livejournal blog.

Basically yes, the guy attempted to build a "subway" on his own. It started as a co-op project, but as soon as people learned that the investment will not bring any dividends until the project is finished, the funding was pulled out. The project consisted of one main transport tunnel with one train, and a support tunnel. The guy died last year though, so the project is closed.

Okay thanks! I would've just used http://englishrussia.com/2009/08/11/...-in-the-world/ this source but englishrussia isn't always truthful. Kinda sad that he died though.

My bad: people learned that they won't be paid for work until the project starts to bring profit - that's how it goes.

Are there any facts as to how long the tunnels are? None of the English sources say so, just "100 meters" in the picture descriptions.
