Every time I fall asleep I typically have sleep paralysis, at least 90% of the time before actually going to sleep. Today was really bad when I kept getting it and then snapping out of it to fall back into it, over and over. What could this mean?
Your body always paralyzes itself... its a natural reflex when you drift into sleep. Otherwise you would semi-act out your dreams in real life, such as people who dream walk who have problems with their paralysis. Then there are those whose bodies do not fully wake up even though their minds do, and they encounter paralysis for a short time before waking up. Its perfectly natural, and not really anything to be worried about.... its just your body's way of keeping you from harming yourself in your sleep.
I find it a bit unusual I am constantly conscious while it occurs, night after night, that's the part I am concerned about. It is to my understanding that its not typically "normal" to have this reoccurring.
