But Wireless as in walking around home and having it charging - Still quite a while away i'm afraid.

Apparently apple patented inductive docking stations already : http://news.cnet.com/8301-13579_3-57...cking-station/
God damn I hate apple, always doing stuff like that, guess now there going to call it their "invention' and try to charge ridiculous amounts for their technology all the while holding back other people from using it.

Honestly I dont see a reason to get the ARM version over the ipad.

The 599$ version wont have Vidjyah Games
It also wont have desktop functionality, since it's ARM.
It's going to be using microsoft's DRM of no installing anything else.
It will be 1366x768 (Source: Metro 'design guide' policy is that all apps should be optimized for 1366x768 and start in under 2 seconds)

I Just dont see how it's better then the nexus 7 and what warrants the extra 300 bucks.

    A bit of offtopic:

This is the first time I've actually been interested in a tablet. I only recently (under 6 months ago) bought a new laptop, had I known about this tablet sooner, I'd probably have waited. I'll be waiting for specs and pricing, however.

    - Probably better build quality (Nexus7 has major problems with it)
    - keyboard
    - expandable memory
    - higher resolution
    - comes with full MS Office

Also $599 is totally unrealistic. It must be below iPad3's price to have any chance.

    Seeing better now?

    Not really.
If it's 300 bucks, then yes,but still. 1280x800 vs 1366x768(For the RT version) isnt all that large of a gain. (about a gain of 80 rows) And considering it's a large display it's a fairly low DPI compared to these newer tablets i.e. ipad, transformer prime.
The expandable memory is nice though, so that's a great plus.
I cannot really comment on the keyboard, it's not tactile, but considering microsoft are going all-in, it might be great.
Personally I dont care about MS office, as there's enough alternatives to it and I dont remember the last time I used it.

All in all the Extra memory is really useful, especially if you dont like to transcode your files. Will wait for official pricing and extra info before bashing it further.

Yeah, I am very interested in that proper model. I wonder how the heat/battery will handle though.

Again, not possible. Unless you want the battery to last 10 minutes. It may use an i5 but it will be quite weak compared to any any desktop i5.

Things don't get small enough NEARLY that fast, though. If they're going to release this three months after the RT, meaning around Dec/Jan, it's likely going to have an ULV Ivy Bridge CPU. It will be performing like a current gen ultrabook, which isn't bad for the size. But certainly no 2500K.
