I liked the filming style, made for an interesting twist on the "genre" if you will.

HOWEVER! i f*cking HATE the ending, I have a, possibly, irrational hatred of films not being explained, I don't mean leaving a few questions leaving room for a sequal (for example) but the basics of the story - you never find out where the "monsters" come from in Cloverfield, why they're attacking and all that sort of thing.

It was very similar with a film called "the birds" the credits started rolling and my mum just laughed at how angry i was at still having so many questions >_<
I prefer a film to be mysterious. The whole point of Cloverfield is that you are in the same shoes as the people it is happening to, if we found out exactly what it was then it would ruin the whole concept. I think this is awesome though, happens in the last part of the film when we watch their home video - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uRPxHk8GArI, really adds to the mystery.

It's a draw between these two for me:

    2012
    Them

They're shit in different ways, but they're both the 2 worst movies I've ever had the displeasure of seeing.

I was higher than ever when I saw that movie and thought it was scary when they were about the give her the lobotomy, after that wow ..... It sucked...

I, honestly, don't get to the theatre much anymore due to bad movies (this year's beginning to look like a great year for movies though).

IMO, The Vampire's Assistant was one of the worst movies I've ever paid to see. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0450405/ A terrible movie that butchered a popular book series. :/
Ultraviolet was another one I couldn't stand. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0370032/ Boring as hell and the only movie I couldn't bear to sit though.

Also any of those 'spoof' movies after the first couple of Scary Movies (Vampire's Suck was one of my worst theatre experiences; and, yes, I hate Twilight) and anything by Uwe Boll. >.<

Sadly Cloverfield gave a couple of clues at in some of the most random places as to what the creature was, when you watch it listen to the side dialog. Also the final bit in the film at coney island has a large clue.

Granted the clues are a bit disjointed and they had planned to get the sequel out by now.

    This one:

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0314063/

My friend went out to rent a movie (this was a common practise in olden days ) and we were all literally shocked at how bad this was. Horrible CGI even for that time which is unfortunately 90% of the movie. The story is completely retarded. You have no idea what is going on and not in a good quintin tarantino way but in a "i can't even dream this type of weird ass stuff" kind of way. It almost feels like they wanted to make something artistic but to make some money back, they added some science fiction stuff that always sells (old egyptian gods, sexy alien girl, 23rd century earth with massive capitols etc.).

The was the first and only time we went back to the videostore to get a free new movie.

Guys, you all lost, I win. THIS is the worst movie of all time:

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1702443/

Justin Bieber - Never Say Never

Never watched it myself, but since it has Bieber in it as the main character... its a clear winner

I was about to be mad because I though you meant this movie called Them http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0047573/

There are been many bad movies I just avoided and many more then are so bad they are fun, but I think the worst movie I have seen that was just terrible was Ghosts of Mars.

Oh yeah. 2012 was such a disastrous disaster movie that I totally forgot it existed. Thanks for reminding me, though. I really needed to relive that experience...

    Lol

The friend whom mentioned TankGirl also mentioned Ankle Biters... I've added that to my *must_see*: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0344843/

Hmm.... Good point - which reminds me of Glitter; a supposed real-life story of a singer/actress whom grows up to be Mariah Carey, played by Mariah Carey.

Oh, and Hobo with a Shotgun isn't worth the time, unless one were high, stoned, and sh!tfaced beyond conciousness - but it wasn't horrible trash.

I am a gigantic Indiana Jones fan and I actually found the movie to be quite entertaining. It wasn't the same, obviously, but I wasn't expecting it to be so I managed to like it quite a lot. Then again I love the National Treasure movies and shit like that which make certain people puke (most of them also Indiana Jones fans) so I don't know.

I tend to not even give movies I think will be terrible a chance, so I hardly have any I can mention. The one that instantly pops to mind is The Jacket, one that a couple people I know really wanted to watch and that actually looked okay. Watched it at the theater. It was dogshit. Wish I could've just up and left, I can't even remember why I didn't like it specifically, it's all just a blur really.

    Alien Apocalypse

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0404756/reviews

That movie was a non-stop face palm. Bruce Campbell was the ONLY thing it had going for it.

There was an even worse movie though, I saw it on a stream a couple months ago but to this day I cannot find out what it is. It's Italian I think, and it has the music from Raiders of the Lost Ark and the space scenes are direct rips from Star Wars. Has some curly haired Fabio types running around fighting each other, and the guy has a large, spiky gold cardboard sword he uses. That was so bad you couldn't stop watching.

Mortal Kombat Annihilation, being a kid I loved the first movie... It actually wasn't that bad lol, Annihilation was just awful though.

Oh and any of the Twilight movies. (I haven't seen any of them, or read any of the books, and I already know they are the worst thing ever conceived by a human)

and all of the Star Wars prequels

I'll give three, one of them is well enough known, the other two aren't

    Nurse Betty http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0171580/
-Some people just hate dark comedies, I'm not one of them, I hated this movie because it was terrible. The main character is a traumatized psychotic who thinks she is a character in a tv show, so naturally everyone just assumes she wants to audition for the part and is fucking method as hell! Every character in this movie is stupid beyond belief and its never funny.

    Ultraviolet http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0370032/
-I had hoped that Equilibrium was no fluke and that Kurt Wimmer could deliver another entertaining movie with some inventive action. Nope, just a really really terrible movie that completely wasted everyone's time.

    Constantine http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0360486/
-I'm pretty sure this movie made me stupider. Just two hours of me squirming and seven years since of wondering why anyone liked it.
