[Music] Best movie sound tracks?

So, I wanted to ask, because I'm trying to make a collection, what you think are the best movie sound tracks?

My particular favorites:

The Dark Knight Rises There are three jarring moments where the editor cut this together, but still its my absolute favorite sound track.
Batman Begins
Inception
Lord of the Rings
Pirates of the Carribean
A Bridge to Far My favorite classic war movie
Saving Private Ryan And my favorite war movie of all time
Black Hawk Down

This list is not exhaustive of what I've got, but I want to see what everyone else likes.

Oh and yes, most of my favorites are by Hans Zimmer. Man's a fucking genius.

Tron: Legacy has really really good OST if you are into that kind of music. On a second thought Matrix falls into the same category.

Also Highlander with Queen's songs is quite good. I'm sure I'll remember billion great soundtracks once I can't post them

In my opinion, one of the best songs ever "made" for a movie (though I'm likely very biased, Serj and Patton are two of my all-time favorite vocalists).

BTW, I really don't like Hans Zimmer. Some of his scores use catchy melodies, but they feel very populist and cheap, sort of like the Michael Bay types of movies they usually accompany.

Most of the stuff by John Williams is amazing. In particular any of the Indiana Jones movies, The Adventures of Tin Tin, War Horse (so emotional!), Minority Report, Jurassic Park, Home Alone....

But yes, I love Lord of the Rings movies a ton, as well as Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe. I used to solely listen to classical or soundtrack music up until 11th grade... yeah, I was weird.

The Lion King has a very soulful soundtrack.
The Secret World of Arrietty has a lively and charismatically wild soundtrack.
Titanic has a tearjerking soundtrack.
Tron: Legacy has an electrifying soundtrack.
The Lord of the Rings Trilogy has an adventurous and beautiful soundtrack.
Up has the best soundtrack in my opinion, beautiful and sad, uplifting and tearjerking.
