    Question Healing Heroic Spine help!

I am in need of a little advice when it comes to healing Heroic Spine on my Holy Paladin. My guild has been stuck on it for two weeks and I want to make sure I am doing everything I can to help. So with that in mind I have a few questions.

I have been beacon swapping. Usually putting it on someone who does not have the debuff and healing the lowest person with HL.(with occasional direct DL/FoL on the beacon for holy power regen)...is this a good strat or should it just stick with the tank?

I have been hearing several stories of people going to a crit build for this...I currently run a mastery build, and love it, so should I go crit or is the decision to go crit just because a haste build burns mana?

Those are my two main concerns I would appreciate any other advice or tips you have for improving my heals on this fight thanks!

Did it on my alt with some guild on my server the other day 400 ilvl haste reforges. glyph beacon and use it on the newest person with beacon when the person who had it lose their debuff, top healing spell was DL.

http://worldoflogs.com/reports/nldbr...?s=6656&e=7351 here are the logs - 35% of my healing was DL & Beacon

Mastery build is the worst possible for Spine, absorbs don't help clearing the debuff.
I would recommend stacking up so you can LoD the entire raid and then swapping beacon between debuffed players, since Beacon heals A LOT with a full LoD transfer.
Crit is a better build than mastery for this fight, personally I would use haste however.

I also run a mastery build as I don't like switching just for this fight. It doesn't help with the debuffs, but it is still very possible to do with a Mastery build. If you find that wipes are happening because debuffed players are dying, you may want to switch to a Haste or crit build. If that's not the case than I think it's fine for you to continue running your mastery build though.

I beacon the newest debuff and use my heals on all other debuffs present. I use DL as possible, but as my paladin is still very undergeared for H Spine I find myself using HL as my main heal. This will be different for you depending on your mana regen, and you may find it possible to cast a high amount of Divine Light as long as you're careful with it.

Thank you for all the advice! I think I have decided to see how a crit build does. Like I mentioned I fair way better with a Mastery build than I ever did with a haste build so I won't go back. I have been wanting to try a crit build for a long time but have been to scared to and this gives me an excuse to do it .

Now if I could only figure out World of Logs lol

Beacon swapping isn't really worth it at this point, you're better off just HR spamming and using WoG for the most part. You can use a crit build if you're having mana issues but it really isn't that big of a deal.

Wouldn't LoD be better than WoG for this fight? I mean you get a ton of people healed...I know its minor healing but it helps take the debuff off everyone.

It is better. All you need to do is beacon someone with debuff, LoD will transfer A LOT of healing by beacon to the beaconed target.

I usually place beacon to someone with debuff and heal the other one with debuff (pretty much i can take care of it alone)... Heal with LOD. When it rotates pop some cds and heal with radiance. When amalgamation is going to explode use aura mastery. Remember to use HOP if a DPS gets aggro. Glyph of holy wrath works very well @ last phase if tank can't handle the bloods. For this fight Crit>haste>mastery

    Good luck!
