Hi, I'm looking for a game (on PC) similar to The Last of Us, mostly for the scaveging, crafting and feeling of few resources (something i can grab everything).
To guive an example I was looking at I Am Alive, but it has very poor reviews. I was also looking at FarCry 3 and Tomb Raider. Any advice for a game with these features?

There is a lot more games I don't want to play but can't remember the names off but do please give me a list of games that I might be interested in. Also a short review what the game is and about would be nice.

    Hey guys quick question here,

I've been looking for a game to play for a while now where i can put my time and effort in. I was doubting to buy Dark Souls since it seems quite challenging and something worth my while, but i heard the 2nd version in coming out soon. I dont realy care if it's an MMO or not, i play WoW still but its mainly for raiding. Other games i play are LoL, Dota2, Skyrim, TF2, Smite, Guild Wars 2, Ghost Recon Online, Mechwarrior online, War Thunder, Firefall, TF2, SC2. But these are more casual games, since after a game or 2 on League i want to play something else. I think i played most Skyrim because of the amount of thinks to do, and i swear to god if it had and MMO style or some sort of mulitplayer it would be awesome ( I know Elder Scrolls Online coming soon). Maybe at the base of this little list you guys can recommend some game you throughoutly enjoyed.

Only a PC game though, and no horror games like Slender ect
    Thanks in advance

Dark souls is a very good game, however the PC port was not very well done and you will probably need a few key mods to make it bearable.

Have you played Mass Effect trilogy? It's really quite engaging.

On the RPG side of things, check out kingdom's of amalur: reckoning, single player game that feels like an MMO but with way better combat.

I'm hoping some of you strategy fans out there can help me find a game I'd enjoy.

Games I've spent the most time with:
    Firefall-
I've played this game a lot over the last year or so but feels like there is a lot of outside influence/pressure that is making so that every step they make toward a potentially great game they are also making two steps toward being a Korean style grinder-MMO. The promised RTS/strategy aspects of the game still aren't in the game which is what had me playing in the first place.

Kenshi- Love, love, love this game. Unfortunately, it still very much in alpha. The fundamentals that are there, however, are outstanding. The studio is a super small team tho so the finished product is still a very long way off.

CoH- Great game...but I've played enough of it to be burnt out and so CoH2 is off the map for now.

DoW1+Expacs- Still play this from time to time. Really enjoy it and have fun with it.

Sword of the Stars 2- Really like this game, but it hates my computer for some reason. Has a good amount of depth to it which I enjoy.

Sins of a Solar Empire- I think overall Sins is a better game than SotS2, mainly in that it runs better on my computer and the use of planets as control/combat areas.

I was looking at Endless Space (on sale on Steam right now), but I have my doubts that I'd enjoy the 3-phase combat cards. I was also looking at StarDrive, but still trying to find enough videos on it to see if its something I'd enjoy.

I need help with a choice, Monster Hunter 3 bundle or Fire Emblem Awakening bundle.

    Hello.

I know, I know... ''Help me choose'' thread, I don't really like them myself either, so I'm pretty much going against myself now.

Anyway, I'm going to buy a Nintendo 3DS XL, and there are these bundles, which is Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate 3DS XL bundle, and Fire Emblem Awakening 3DS XL bundle.

It's just that, I'm torn between what game I should get.

Monster Hunter I have played before (Wii version, long time ago) and I liked it, though I sucked at it, and barely made it anywhere, I thought maybe picking it up on the 3DS could be fun, and to get better at it.

Fire Emblem I have never played, I haven't played any game of the series, all I know about it is that it's a strategy game, and you can play a mode which makes your characters die permanently if you aren't careful enough, which I thought sound pretty cool. I also suck at strategy games.

I'm making this thread because buying a Nintendo 3DS is a lot of money for me, so I need to think a lot before I go for it.

TDLR; The bundles include a 3DS XL with either game, I need help to decide...

I've been searching for a challenging online game, No specific genre. Just something that will give me satisfaction of learning the strategy of beating a level/boss after dying an endless amount of times. I get bored really quickly playing online as their is nobody to interact of show off how good I am at the game (hehe jokes) or destroy in a PvP environment.

    I've recently been playing or played games such as;

League of Legends (This is the main game I play)
Team Fortress 2 (Fun, But very casual, I get bored after 1-2 games)
Skyrim (I made a new character but got bored after 2 hours, Lack of interaction with players bored me)
World of Warcraft (After playing for 7 years on and off PvP got very bland for me since MoP)
Guild Wars 2 (Loved this game, but I miss the gear grind and competitive PvP scene is not too great)
Borderlands 2 (Fun game, but again bit boring to play solo and playing with random people is frustrating as everyone just spam picks up everything so getting an upgrade is near impossible)
Darksouls (I've not played this game, But I know I'll also get bored quickly as its single player)
Tera Online (Very generic questing experience, not a game I'd enjoy playing for too much longer than an hour at a time)
Neverwinter (Played this for 40 hours or so, It's a fun game I play every now and then)

tl;dr Suggest an online player interactive game with a high level of skill required to get anywhere, which I can dedicate alot of time to.

Hey, I don't play any of these games personally. But I have a few friends who play Monster Hunter ALOT and they never seem to get bored of the game they are always telling me about some sort of huge monster they need to kill to require such item to make another item or for a quest ect..

Seems like this game has alot to offer. I'd suggest this one, knowing nothing about "Fire Emblem"

Well, Firefall definitely requires skill (especially with the elite mobs now in the game that you have to headshot a bunch while darting around to take down effectively) and the crafting system is somewhat anagolis to EVE (at least that's what they are going for). Its going to open beta on July 8th (I think) so you can play it for free. I'm kind of 'meh' about the game at this point; not because it isn't good...but because the company behind it has been promising this huge PvE war with the bad guys for years now and it still hasn't happened. What is there is decent tho.

Follow-up to my own post: Picked up 'Star Ruler' which is suppose to be a good blend GalCiv2 and SoaSE. I also picked up the 'Homeworld' trilogy, which pre-dates me getting into gaming of any kind but the demo was pretty damn sweet considering its age.

    My opinions:
I find Distant Worlds has more depth than Star Drive but it is also older. SD has potential but it being a one-man production means it may never be fully utilized. I suggest taking a look at Distant Worlds if you liked that gameplay which is similar to Imperium Galactica series (if you ever played them).

Endless Space although in much better shape now lacks quite a lot of depth even in economical sense. It's a game which could be entirely played within a spreadsheet. The great majority of players have never finished a game and less than a 3rd have played more than 10 turns. I've been a player since early Alpha and been playing and finishing my share of games but it doesn't quite have the same lasting appeal and atmosphere of games like MoO2 or GalCiv 2.

SotS2 wasted a lot potential by having like two years of fixing period after release. SotS1 in comparison aged well. Both are however not quite comparable with SoaSE which comes with the usual constraints of being a real-time strategy game. You could compare it with Distant Worlds or the new Star Drive in some regard but SoaSE has a bit different approach. SoaSE is also poorly optimized compared to DW. It runs entirely on one core which is notable if you have a 120 bomber Advent fleet and have mined out most systems. Primarily its automatic and slow garbage collection are a strain on performance (in order to circumvent the XP memory barrier they put an arbitrary 1.5 GB limit on it and every time it hits that amount it slowly frees up memory). It is circumventable in parts by setting fleet speed to slow, assigning it to one core explicitly thus going around hyperthreading issues and increasing process priority to 10. But overall I agree SoaSE is a very good game and one of a kind as well. Wasted a lot hours in it and once modded the hell out of it as well.

    Path of Exile is really...
All you will ever need from that genre.

But I guess you could try marvel heroes online too.
    (Warframe) - Dragon & Typhoon-
(Neverwinter) - Trickster Rogue & Guardian Fighter -

Hi everyone. I'm in search of 2 players coop games on PC, action games preferably but any genre can make it, but I hardly can found some.

So may you have some strict 2 players* coop games title to share ? Something in the line of "army of two" but PC (and good, if I may ask ) would be perfect.

I'm actually in a casual social guild of a few friends, often only two connected at the same time (especially this weekend) and I'm trying to find new stuff to play outside of wow (we allready do some DIII, LOL, dota2, SCII, BF3 but it's really 2 players games I search).

*solo game with dual player "campaign" mode, or coop games that can be played by only 2 people. basically no strangers IG, that's what I meant with strict 2 players game as it wasn't clear it the locked thread I made

I'm looking for a new mmorpg to play but I'm willing to settle for a extremely good single player pc game. I generally tend to like games with a lot of customization and a sort of fantasy sand-box sort of world (true sand-box is rare though so anything that isn't a string of quests leading you from level 1 to cap is bearable). Besides hardcore FPS and WoW clones I'm really open to anything though.

    A few games I've liked;
-Mabinogi (played on and off since beta, most of what I'm looking but I've done 99% of the content)
-Vindictus (gameplay is more what I'm looking for)
    -Dragon Nest
    -Dragon's Dogma
    -Demon's/Dark Souls
    -"Tales of" series
-The Lat of Us(enjoy the scavenging aspect)
-League of Legends(don't love MOBAs though, besides I've tried them all)
-Dark Cloud 2(weapon system is glorious imo)
-Ragnarok Online(Class system is very... good?)
-Wizardry Online(not Wizardry 101[had a good concept but terrible execution])

    Please don't recommend;
    -Anything from Nexon
    -Guild Wars 2
    -Gunbound
    -TERA
-Point and Click(unless its the bee's-knees)
    -FPS
    -MOBA
    -PvP intense games

Please no games with a monthly subscription and note that my computer isn't amazing. I can play Vindictus on max settings and TERA on medium-low settings with no high fps.

    Thanks a bunch!

Any idea for a sandbox-style MMORPG in a fantasy setting? I used to play Star Wars Galaxies quite a lot and yearn for that style of game, with more depth beyond standard PvE/PvP gameplay.
