    stupid pvp question

really stupid i know but been wondering.....does your pets growl serve ANY use at all in pvp lol, also wondering with roar of sacrifice does that actually transfer 20% of the damage to your pet or do the two of you actually just share the equal amount

    Growl removes grounding totem.

also use to have a silencing shot macro that targeted your focus target then would shift back to previous target.....is such a macro still possible?

    /cast [@arena1] *spell*

Do that for arena1/2/3 and learn to use those instead of focus, and you can achieve greatness!

As previously said, Growl removes grounding totems, which is great before trapping etc. About Roar of Sacrifice, it does NOT to my knowledge split the damage, you still take 100% damage, and in addition to that your pet takes 20% (making the enemies attack 120% damage). I could be wrong about the RoS, but I'm fairly sure it works this way.

For the focus macroes, either do it like Choptimus recommended with arena1/2/3. This takes a lot of binds though. A normal focus silencing shot macro would be something along the lines of

    #showtooltip
    /stopcasting
    /cast [@focus] Silencing Shot

This macro won't change your main target, but it will still fire the silencing shot at your focus target.

    Hope this helps!

Do note that your pet won't growl at players by itself, even on autocast.
So for example macro growl to your trap launcher to eat the grounding totem just before the freezing trap will land.
    Or to your scatter shot

    /cast [@pettarget, exists] growl

should do the trick in any macro you want I think.
If you didn't send your pet out at all, it won't run of to growl since it 'has no target'.

Roar of sacrifice is best used when being a kill target, it keeps you from being crit which is amazing against any melee.
Violence is like duct tape, if it doesn't work the first time use more.
