Add my pet damage and im 3rd in a 10 man raid, really not something we should be proud with don't you think? We (hunters) are okay at sustained damage, not at burst.
Are you that bad at math? 3 775 715 + your pet's 534 263 = 4 309 978 still making you 4th in a 10 man raid not third.
Just because your damage is not the highest does not mean "Survival sucks". It can depend on a variety of things. Look at your priest, it's last, yet pretty much everyone has priests as one of the best.
nevermind =)

Our hunters were top half of the pack tendon dps, this was in January pre-nerf. Most hunters just don't know how to optimize for spine (and for the record, they have done it as all 3 specs and all were good tendon dps when played correctly. We used 3 hunters at a time when most people considered them abyssmal at the fight /shrug).
Progressed on it in 10% without a fancy raidcomp, didn't seem to hinder us too much, if at all.
Using Skada's enemy damage taken, the bottom of the bunch were the usual bad / lazy players. Generally the top 4 players are always mages, shadowpriests, rogues and the one hunter that bothers to switch to BM. Ret, Demo and feral spike up on every other tendon, but the 2nd one where they don't have cooldowns lets them down a lot, though it can be considered that the bloodlust on the 3rd one first opening is when they really shine, it usually drops below 20%.
Our warlock also says that demo burst is only really high (~1.8M) on the first one when you pop all your cooldowns (including Doomguard) in a very specific order, and is very tricky to pull off.
Enhancement shaman tend to be pretty awful, as the wolves cooldown is slightly too long to use every time.
