I have recently been laid off, I thought being on unemployment would be an okay way to spend the summer - but i have no realized it is not for me.
bit of background, I am fully bilingual - I was enrolled in the early immersion program for 12 years. I graduated highschool and went to university and got a degree in Criminology, loved it. After graduation from university I was employed 9months at a jail as a guard. I then received a new job at a nuclear power plant doing security.
And thats where the post begin, I am laid off on unemployment. The reason I feel this is not for me - I am not much for sitting around and doing nothing, but don't have the cash to be doing what Id like..
I have several friends out West of Canada working on the oil rigs, thinking of giving them a resume and if it worked out I could drive my car across the country and experience working hard for good money. I believe they do something like fourteen 12 hour days and 5 off after. I would be fine with this line of work i think..
anyone know of any other oppurtunities rite now? I KNOW- hilarious spot to post about my life and look for work, but I browse these forums every day even though im not an avid gamer anymore. I like the community and hope this post can be criticised positively or negatively - guidance of sort would be nice.
tldr - looking for work, looking for work.
