My Razer Tiamat 7.1 simply will not produce sound!

Hi Forum,

I recently purchased the new headset from razer and after plugging it in to both the USB (power supply) and the audio jacks, realised that it was only producing feedback with no other sound.

I have messed around with the audio setting and the audio jack inputs etc, but it seems pretty hopeless.


Does anyone have any ideas on the subject or has anyone experienced this?

TL;DR - The headset lights up and produces feedback, doesn't appear in the "Sound" panel etc. Will NOT work!

Assuming you plugged it into your motherboards audio jacks, do you have your motherboards drivers installed?

If you built your own computer maybe you forgot to plug in the HD audio header, other than that drivers are probably the issue.

The USB plug powers the headset itself, the audio is driven through your soundcard. Please try plugging the headset into another device to play audio - if the headset still doesn't work, please contact Razer Support at ww w. razer support .com / email.
