Nvidia performs better in Blizzard games.

    Doesn't matter, as long as it's a GTX 460, HD5770 or better when you're running 1920x1080.
    Neither perform worse or better.

Blizzard games don't really require a monster GPU, so it doesn't really matter what brand you have. A wooden gpu could run WoW and D3, but SC II needs a bit more juice.

Crossfire has more problems than SLI, but both are unsupported. That's the only real difference between the two manufacturers when it comes to WoW.

There is a distinct performance lead with Nvidia once you push the settings to max.

I'd argue it's because Nvidia has better profiles for SLI than the 7970 has for CF. For the starcraft one at least.

Blizzard usually endorses Nvidia at Blizzcon etc, with the computers and banners having Nvidia on them/in them. Figure I would just throw that out there :P
