<Monster> is a World of Warcraft raiding guild on the horde side of US Burning Blade. We formed shortly after the beginning of tier 12, Firelands, and worked our way up the rankings to enjoy some fairly high ranked kills considering our late start, most notably a top 100 US Glory of the Firelands Raider achievement. After a brief split at the beginning of Dragon Soul, most of our members went their separate ways, joining various top guilds
around the server. At the end of Dragon Soul progression, however, some of us have decided we wanted to play together again. The result of this is this reformed, revamped and 100x better incarnation of Monster!
Our goal for the Mists of Pandaria expansion is mostly to ensure we clear all raid content BEFORE the end of the tier. This means tier 14 will be cleared during tier 14, not tier 15. Ranking wise, our goal is to be in the top 100 of US 10 man raiding guilds, whilst only raiding 2-3 nights per week.
Our members are among the strongest players of their respective classes, achieving high ranking parses, performing in ways that make them unique, skilled, and obviously dedicated. Monster is ready to take over the raiding scene, and shoot to the top!
Our atmosphere is full of jokes, "fun runs" and alt runs, transmog runs, casual pvp etc. We still enjoy playing WoW: a lot of people only play to raid, they don't enjoy the other things the game has to offer. This is not the case for us. While we don't have anything against that type of player, there is always something to do when we are not raiding.
What We're Looking For:
- Strong players who can play their class well, not stand in/get hit by the bad stuff, contribute to the encounter
- Dedication: we don't want players who will get the kill or the mount and bounce, we want players who want to be in Monster
- Fun loving: Monster is full of college students. This is a warning to anyone with a stick up their ass. We know how to settle down during raids, but if you can't deal with a guild chat full of racist/sexist comments, trolling and other general stupidity, you will not fit in.
- Active: I don't want to emphasise this one as much, as I myself have been a raid logger in the past, however you will find your time here much more enjoyable if you log on for reasons other than raids.
- Off specs: Pretty much necessary for 10 man content. Healers should have a DPS off spec, tanks should have a DPS off spec, DPS should have tanking/healing off specs if you are not a pure. This doesn't mean you have to play it, but should you be called on to use it be ready.
Raid Days/Times:
Tuesday - 8-12 EST
Wednesday - 8-12 EST
(Sunday) - 8-12 EST (Only added if necessary for progression purposes, ie the first few weeks of a new tier/expansion, a low % wipe on Wednesday)
