Stuff that isn't soapy or -too- dumb. It doesn't matter if it tells an (adapted) real history or a made-up story, as long as there is a significant story. I'll just mention 3.

I don't have a favorite type of show since I watch so many of them and no two fall in the same category. Just to name a few...
Hell's Kitchen, Masterchef, The Office, The Bachelor (sad I know), Mad Men, Breaking Bad, and Community.

I'm a fan of shows that seem serious and realistic - even if the topic is unrealistic.. I like those 40+ minute shows, preferably with many, diverse characters.
Perfect show: Battlestar Galactica

Mostly sci-fi.
I also like pretty much anything that has a really well written and planned out, LONG plot, as opposed to disjointed episodes.
I also like cerebral stuff.
My "ideal" TV series is Babylon 5.

I am T.v. Show lover like to watch reality T.v. Show the most because it has no drama and suspense for further proceeding as having in drama show. Reality shows always provide the right message or reality of our society to everyone.

Mostly comedy like American Dad, The Big Bang Theory (which I've gotten more into) and The Simpsons. More serious shows I love are The Walking Dead and Game of Thrones. I stay away from terrible toilet bowl humor shows like Family Guy.

Anime or nostalgic(y) stuff (90's are all that), also ID Discovery sometimes when I do watch TV. (which is rare)
