    Good Ram Upgrade?

Hey guys, thinking of upgrading my ram from 4Gb to 8GB. Are these good for my comp?

Tossed your thread over to build help.

Yes, they should fit. And while AMD are finnicky about which RAM to fit with motherboards, I still think you can run these at the same time as the old ones. Not sure about the AMD side of things with this.

yes it will be fine , are you still using the X2 and GTS 250 though? upgrading to an X4 phenom 2 965 and a newer faster card would see better benefi

I'm still using the x2 but not the GTS250. I upgraded to a ASUS EAH6850 and I have a 128GB SSD coming in a week.

I got the RAM and installed it but my comp comes up as a blank screen, do I need to do anything specific for it to work? I installed the old ram again for now.

have you tried each stick on its own?

I've tried each new stick seperate and each new stick with one of the old ram and still nothing, however both of my old ram together work fine. Either the new RAM is dead or it's not compatible with my computer it seems.
