~100 right now on my Barb, almost all from 3 slots (ammy-40, boots-17, belt-17) then the rest off follower.

Currently at 187%/34% CHD/CHC, 34k dps, 46k hp, 900 RA (1180 fire), 884 LoH. Definitely room for improvement, but its a nice balance between MF/dmg/survivability for now.

I go with 377 MF on my barb (including 5 stacks and my templar), rolling mostly in Act 1. I get 3 to 4 yellows from elite packs.
If I get bored, I switch to Act 2, and the only item I replace is my helm, so that makes me with 332 MF there.

    With 5NV stacks:

    65k dps with SS/25k without
    300%GF
    350%MF

With this gear i can farm the usual stuff in Act1 ( cemetery/festering/leoric manor/ all 3 halls/jailer/butcher) including the inferno pony normal mobs, i switch to dps gear for elites....thing is tho i didn't notice a drop increase for the rarea that matter aka lvl 62 or 63, ye sure i see alot of rarea and high lvl blues but who gives a shit, just vendor trash so recently i decided to just play in my dps gear with 150k dps with SS and get 5NV then clear pony.

Last night i ran act 1 inferno from start till after the spider queen, with nothing else but just 5 stacks of NV i got a green belt (tal'rashas or however you spell it ) and 2 legendary belts both named Angel Hair Braid obviously with different stats. So MF is overrated

I see people write about selling unidentified ilv63s for hundreds of thousands of gold. How does this work? Who do you sell to? A vendor, a player? If a player, is there some network of people willing to buy un-id'd items I can tap into?

I farm acts 1 & 2 with 284% MF... and still get nothing but garbage. Cleared every pack in act 3 last night with 204% MF and still got nothing worth more than 40-50k gold. If I could sell all the crap ilv63s for 200k my farming time would literally be spent 1000% more effectively. I would gladly take the sure bet for 200k over the miniscule chance of rolling a decent ilv63 item.

The best items I've gotten were when I had no MF. I understand how MF works, but it's still utterly random. The odds of getting 1 decent item in 100 rares is so close to getting 1 decent item from 1 rare that it's hardly worth bothering.

    And yes, I am bitter.

Clarification on the usefulness of MF gear, based on confirmation from Blizz that the # of affixes of rares is affected by your MF % (http://us.battle.net/d3/en/game/guid...ent#magic-find), it seems to me that if you can farm act 3 and switch to a high MF set (250%+) at kills, IDing those rares is probably more worthwhile than selling.

On where to sell unided ilvl 63 rares, I see ppl trading on the /Trade channel all the time.

You know all those white items that make you beat your face on your keyboard because they are level 63s? MF can turn them into yellows. I think the only time MF isnt worth it is if you can faceroll Acts 3/4 then the drop rates are so good that you dont need it unless you wanna swap in a helm just so you break 100 with 5 stacks. I farmed Act 1 with 282 with Templar and I noticed a massive jump in items from when I did it with 0 MF. I went from 3 rares once in a blue moon to about 50% of the time and even 4 rares on occasion. Also pretty much 2 on every single kill.

Lots in trade but you will need a lot of gold to play that game. Its basically gas station scratch cards. I wouldnt try it with less than 20 mil if you want to have any chance at making gold as you need to buy a lot of them. I have ID's tons of 63s since they started dropping in Act 1 and only about 10% were AH worthy and only 4 of them have sold for 2-5 mil. So if you buy 10 items for 200k each you have to get a 2 mil item just to break even. Also out of probably 40-50 weapons that were 63s I have sold TWO on the AH. I think about selling mine all the time but I know the first one I sell the guy is gonna link me some retarded perfect roll item 5 seconds later so I always ID everything I get.

If this is true then i should get more MF lol. I can farm act 1 extremely quick with 180% MF (After NV) and 50k dps on my wizard. Ive gotten good but not optimal results. Ive tried act 2 which i can handle np but i don´t like the routes. I guess its time to stack even more MF.

Act I farming in GF/MF gear on my bard

    10k dps
    15% crit
    170% dmg crit
    190% GF (unbuffed)
    160% MF (unbuffed)
    +12% movement speed

DW with around 1000 lph. Bul Kathos talent + earthquake + WOTB (+100% dmg). Elite packs / goblin explode despite my low dps.

edit: gave up on my WD as it's slower, kill things slower and have no god mode. + barbs can't die
