Question about remaking an arena team

So excuse my noobness, but I'm fairly new to doing arena and one of my officers and I have been farming them just for the guild XP.

We're sitting right around 1300 rating partly because he was severely undergeared when we started and had never done it. My question is, if we remake the team, does our MMR reset? We could care less about our rating, we just want some easier wins. We're looking for quantity, not quality in other words.

Your MMR doesn't reset from what I know.

Pretty sure it only resets after each season.

That's what I thought, but some Google results seemed to suggest otherwise. I was always under the impression it was a bad idea to remake.
